The moon was bright enough to run without my headlamp.

I think I put all my clothes on right, too.

5.5 fairly easy miles this morning. Beautiful moon w/ some scattered clouds. Only 75 degrees and tolerable humidity. Shoes only damp this morning after the run. Will pick up another 5-6 miles tonight w/the group run. I put my clothes on correctly too sans shirt.

Thought I'd do my recovery runs on pavement for the next few weeks to be better adapted for a 5k in Sept. Hope it works.
Good morning. This was my second session of the 60 minute program by Switzer. I ran my 30 mins on the treadmill and felt like I was gonna die. Argh! It was easier the other day. Even though there was some minimal air conditioning, I felt pretty lousy and as if I was slogging through muck. I checked my heart rate and it was lower than the other day, but the effort today seemed more extreme. It doesn't make much sense to me.

Oh well, Sunday's run will be better, I'm sure. Tomorrow I do free weights, and Saturday I'm doing yoga.

Next week will be odd for me as I'll be away on a working vacation in Denver. I'll try to stick to my schedule but it might not work out exactly. I'll be attending a French Bulldog National Specialty show! Yes, really.

Good morning!

For some reason my feet and legs were totally twinge free and sproinky this morning for 4 recovery miles @9:29 pace and the AHR was only 143 even though it was 73F outside. I think I know what happened. After my 12.5 miles yesterday I was on my feet for some production trials from 7 am to 3 pm. I think that let things loosen up really well. What ever the reason, I'll take it . Then 50 minutes water running.. ahh taht felt great!

Millbot... you must still be savoring that great HM you ran!!

Liam.. can the CR running log be migrated to kick runners if Active decides to use their own? They won't need it if that happens.... hmm

Big thunderstorm last night here. I wasn't scared, but my scaredy cats climbed into bed with me to cuddle.
I hope this cools down the heat wave for my run today.
Racing a 12K on Saturday, and so I am sure to get a PR.

Good morning everyone. Today I'm going to resume intervals, I think 4x800 to start and then maybe work up to 4x1200 over the next few weeks. As the marathon is only a month away, I don't think they'll make much difference for that, (and I'm not trained that good anyway) but maybe they will for the 5K in November.

good luck on your 12K this Saturday Ilene.

Susan-one of my daughters lives just outside of Denver and has a French Bulldog. I'll be there at the end of next month.

Hi all,

No run for me today. It works out well, because it looks like a t-storm in the forecast. I am in state confusion as whether to post here or on cr. I would like to find one and stay with it.

4 miles before work this morning, the sweat band was soaked through. Looking forward to a drop in the humidity this weekend.

Good morning everyone! No running for me today and just as well, I have a ton to get done at work so most likely won't even be taking a lunch break, then we leave tomorrow for the weekend, so have lots to do tonight to get ready (including making a huge batch of fresh salsa) and it's going to be hotter than haddes today, so my goal is to keep cool.

I'll get in an early a.m. run tomorrow though, but then probably nothing til next Tuesday. Tuesday is DS's first day of 2nd grade. I always take that first day off work so I can greet him home at the busstop and he'll have fresh warm choc chip cookies to eat for his after school snack and get to tell me all about his day. I always feel a bit June Cleaver-like on that first day of school.

Sure, ksrunr, it's easy if you don't have to put on a shirt.

Tammy, you're also a better cook than June. Why do you think Ward was so thin?

Perchcreek, yes! A race like that is good for at least a two-week high.

Awww... Sal... thanks for caring, hun. We care about you too.

I thought about running this morning and then decided my shin needed a day off. Will resume with a long run on Sat. with the mister. I will do some flow yoga tonight and have already finished my ab work for the day. Perch, you sound really strong these days. Awesome!

Sounds like millbot & lyndenrunner are doing their best Eddie Haskell imitations . "Why excuse me Tammy, don't you look lovely today".

I went to the gym this afternoon and did 4 x 800 m with 400m recovery, with a 1 mile WU & 1.5 mile CD. It was very warm in the gym and I went through SIX sweat towels & 40oz. of water. It's not so bad now that it's done, but I hated doing them, and that was only at an 8mm pace .

MC - oh you darn rebels. cr isn't that bad => many days CR is way too slow on my pc - it sometimes takes a couple of minutes to load a page - granted, maybe I have issues on my pc but I don't think those darn CR ads help . . . kickrunners is much faster loading!

Well, I slugged out 8 slow miles. It's too bad I had my watch on - I was hoping for a speedier run but my legs just wouldn't cooperate! Each mile got slower

TamilinaJunester - warm, chocolate chip cookies - my favorite! What a wonderful welcome home from the first day of school!
