6 miles this morning. Throw out first slow mile and last fast mile avg around 7:30. Very still, clear, but humid this morning. Completely soaked thru. 6 more tonight maybe a bit slower.

5 M on the TM this morning. I forgot my HR strap but went ahead and did the middle 3 at 8:00 m/M, 0.5% incline. Not soaked but my headband and sweat rag were.

Just in case, Happy Birthday, Johnny. I wish I were there to share a brew with yew.

Happy birthday Johny. Good run Tom.

FO, you are lucky. I get soaked even when doing my silly easy pace (which is probably two minutes slower than yours)

5 this morning. 5.5 TM at lunch.

With the calorie deficits I am running up this week, it looks like anything longer than 6 miles in a single session is just not happening. But with 10 miles today my total for the week is close to 30 and with three days left I am still on track toward my goal of 40 mile a week.

5K with the clinic group at lunch today. Ran with our patent lawyer... nice lady.

My cyclist buddy from marketing, who has just started into running, only runs trails with his dog, has done NO speed work, and has never so much as ran with anyone else (claiming he's still too slow to come out with me on a run!).... tells me this morning that he's tweaked his calf again, by running his first ever 5K in Lisbon last week, no warmup, went out too fast with the leaders, and still managed just under 24 minutes.

I want to smack him upside the head!!!

Just on principle.......

Happy B-Day Johnny!

I've been super busy around here today, making up for yesterday (golf with the boss in the afternoon!) Yesterday morning I ran my usual 10 mile route, 8 at tempo and probably did it too fast, 7:43 avg pace, with the last 3 between 7:30/35. This morning I paid the price for the tempo, golf, late night - felt sproinkless - so I opted for a slow EZ 5 miler in light rain, just under 9 m/m. It turned out ok, but I'm a little anxious about the 22 miler I have scheduled for Sat. I'll rest tomorrow.

Hi all...6.5 miles in the woods this morning....you're right HF, it is my birthday, also Sans Souci's & BTY's as well. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Finished one of the big projects I had looming over my head and delivered it about an hour or so ago,....what a relief

What's a couple of days Heme?? 21st, 23rd, I think I'll celebrate it on October 4th.....and go ahead and smack your buddy for me too

Sounds like you're right on schedule HF. I agree, you're going to smoke your race Sunday. I'll be in Eugene over the weekend, so it won't be quite as far to send out good vibes and positive thoughts.

Nice running Ks, FO, TW, Mike, Bob, Heme, & HF

With a rest day tomorrow Mike, you'll have no problems on your 22 miler Saturday.
