Yes, that's one of the options they offered me. For a mere $150.00 "donation" to their kids campaign I can get in ($117.00 of that is deductible on your income taxes, though). There is also an upcoming number transfer system coming up in April where people who decide they wish to transfer their numbers to someone can make those arrangements. I'm sure that would be probably as expensive as the charity donation.

Of course, I'm sure I'll be able to find entries on Ebay too in a couple of weeks if not already.

I'm pretty certain the City of Duluth as well as Braselton both have a 4th of July weekend road race. I'm happy with either of them.

ETA: One other possibility. If I have run 10 PRR's I can apply for an exception and get in. I know I've ran 7 to 8, I'm not sure about 10 because until last year they only timed runners in Time Groups A and B, roughly about 2000 runners out of the 55,000 total field.

And it appears the ATC is trying to mimick the NYC track club. Since I failed to get in this year, if I was to enter the lottery the next two years and fail to get in I would have an automatic entry into the 2014 PRR. Currently the ATC does not charge to enter the lottery as NYC does, but I bet that's coming.

Make a long story short, I don't have the patience for lottery systems. I'll find another local race and be satisfied with them. There will apparently not be a shortage of entrants to take my place of no longer running the Peachtree.
