More fun on the homefront last night.....the dog's kennel caught on fire. Molly is fine, she is currently sleeping in the house on the chair with a blanket. Hubby was outside and smelled smoke, went to check it out. We live next to a tree farm, and there a quite a few outbuildings throughout. As he got closer to the dog kennel, the smoke and smell was worse. He quickly got into the kennel, rescued Molly and then put out the smoldering hay. One of the heat lamps fell onto the hay and started the fire. Quite an evening we had. Scottie our other dog that stays inside the house, was really pissed off because Molly was taking up his valuable space. I am afraid to go home tonight and see what shape my house will be in.

Biah I don't think I am nicer than you, just sneakier and more vindictive. You put your wickedness right out there, mine is masked behind a calculating mind (or so I have been told).

Yikes! That's really scary Colleen! I'm glad the dogs are fine!

Ooh...love a nap.

Man, my neck is killing me. It's been like this for months and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. I can barely turn my head most days. And now it's into my shoulders. I need a massage.

I think I'll see if my hairdresser can cut my hair today. I feel the need for a change. It's been years since I did anything exciting with the length of my hair. Ideas?

Hell yeah.

Don't think for a second that when DD2 and DD3 go down I don't sometimes join them.

Nothing like a nice hour long afternoon power nap.

Morning all. Heading downstairs for much needed java. Early day here in the City of Brotherly Love.

(((Molly and her former home)))

Colleen - I agree w/other Colleen; get something easy to take care of that looks good when fixed up and when not. And be sure to let me know what this style is as I'd love to have it for myself

Norah - did you crack any skulls yet? You've had a rough go at it for a spell now. On to better subjects, how's your new haircut working out?

Well, with the curls I don't have to do much with my hair other than wash it. I never blowdry it or anything, just put some product in to keep the frizzies at bay (it's taken me years to find decent product and it still doesn't always work). So I think the change I'm looking for is going shorter than I usually go. Like shoulder-length. I often think I'd like to do it...then chicken out because my hair's been long for so many years. Maria I liked the length of your sister's hair, though, so I'm thinking something like that. It's still long enough to put up but short enough to look kinda sassy and fun.

Good morning!

Kickoff for my spring training group was last night. This cute new guy who has been running with us the past few weeks was there. I spent ~15 min chatting with him.

I also stayed up way too late last night, but for a good cause. No coffee today, but I do have diet cherry coke handy.

Clare what do you use to get rid of the frizzies?

Dad update he is getting a few more tests done this morning and then going home. At this point, he could be developing pneumonia (sp), so he will be watched for that. He develops it every January, so that is nothing new. All the cardiology tests came back ok.

Morning all. I have a unique day ahead. We have a major employer using our office today through Saturday with extended hours. I'm there today from 8-7. ugh. Glad this is only for 6 total days. Thankfully my co-workers and I are evenly splitting the extra two hours and cutting the Saturday work to 5 hour shifts. Nothing I can do about it so I am just going to try to actually have a good day. In two weeks it will be over with and forgotten.

I hope this employer will see that

1) the later in the day the less people come in for work
b) nobody thinks we are open from 5-7
three) nobody thinks we are open on Saturdays

I hope those lead to these folks trimming back these extra hours and days. Stinks we don't get overtime. We merely get comp hours we can use later. Oh well.

Ok I am taking a deep breath and going in! Anyone who wants to email me today during this long day to keep me company is welcome to do so.
