Just signed up at Kicks after several years of happy posting at CR :banana<img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif">as spankee). Happy to find a new home, but a little wierded out with how the Active capture destroyed a very vibrant, supportive and funny Boomer posting community. Hope Active got what they paid for.<br><br>
I know a fair number have migrated here while others have gone elsewhere, but will it ever be the same? Throw in a bowling induced injury which has put me on the running shelf for 4 weeks and I enter 2008 a little bit morose.

San Souci. One of my fav. Boomers. Nice to hear a familiar if not somewhat twisted voice. I didn't even know you were injuried. Not a bad time for an injury as there is still plenty of time to recover and prepare for spring marathons.<br><br>

Hi Canal, it couldn't have been said better. I have gone back into a CR a couple of times to look at the damage. I am actually in aw about the profound stupidity or greed amoung the folks in Active. I think I am in stage 2 of grief. 1. denial, 2. Anger, 3. Acceptance.<br><br>

I took one look at the Active/CR site and it was Adios! for me. I was shellshocked... and would still be holed up if our one and only SS wouldn't have called me out of it via e-mail. I am so glad she did. I found many of my favourite people on this site.<br>
You'll like it, too. CR was a gathering place, and we found another one. What matters is the people. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br>
