Perfect race conditions today w 55 degrees and slightest wind. Ran shirtless because after warmup as I was changing into my singlet I realized one of my dogs decided it was too cold to go out last night.

Course is a fun course w lots of twists and surfaces. Ran 18:57 for 2nd o. a. And 1st master. I ran 18:30 in 2009 when I set all my masters records. This 1st time under 19 since then. I'm pleased w this considering my summer and little speed work.

Hi TW!

Nice run yesterday, Rip!

Glad both FO and Johnny are getting back at it so nicely!

Hi to the rest of you!!

Been AWOL for a few days, as work and life have had me a bit too distracted. Ran 3.3 mile with the work running club crowd at lunch on Thursday and got in a decent gym session on Friday morning.... something I need badly as I've been neglecting all of the core, ab and hips stuff that's been keeping me uninjured this year.

Got out this morning to the forest tract that each year hosts one race in the trail series I've been doing for some time now, and that the RD has asked my training partner (J) and I to design the courses for next season. J had sent me a map with one proposal, but he had the short course go out too long to get in a favourite nasty hill. I've been pouring over the maps for a bit and think I've found a good option that has the right balance of single and double track, is under the max limit for the two race distances, and still manages to keep the "fugly" hill, which is followed by a wonderful windy stretch of mostly downhill single track appropriately named "Superfly Alley". I ran what I'm going to propose as the long course in the reverse direction with the Garmin, noting the distances at all the major turns, and indeed it looks like it's going to work. Got in a slow 10 miles in total, my first double digit run in over a month.

10 miles rolling hills route for me this morning, 35 degrees, sunny skies, kickin through maple leaves at least as big as turkey platters.

Good job KS! We're proud of you!

Thanks for the vote of (fashion) confidence, FO

I watched our state xc meet today. First time at a new venue and it wasn't real fan friendly but

always exciting watching the races even from a distance.

I bailed on the trail run yesterday but may go monday or tuesday depending on how my legs feel. This evening

I did a nice hour on the eliptical. I am even getting in better shape on the eliptical than I was a couple months ago.

nothing today but sleeping in.

4 TM miles yesterday, no real bad after effects, just a little stiff & sore with things aching that haven't ached in a while. Anxious to try running outside, but, in my old age it seems to be taking a while to adapt to the colder temps. 75/50 when I got hurt....40/35 & 100% humidity now.

FO, glad to hear you are getting in some exercise... sound as if things are improving slowly. Take it slow and easy.... we're not 20 years old any longer.

Happy Feat, my wife has a running skirt she uses for walking. She loves it. I don't quite understand it, but it makes her feel good. So, go for it!

I'm in Manila, Philippines this week. I arrived about 10 pm Sunday night and it actually Monday morning here. But I won't steal the Monday post with a time zone trick.

Thursday night hockey was cancelled due to weather (outdoor rink). Friday I ran 10.5 miles and 6 on Saturday morning before getting on the plane.

I'll be on the hotel treadmill all week.

Thanks for the input on the skirt, PT I suspect it reminds us of when we could get away with wearing a miniskirt - those were fun times - and so we feel young and fun again....
