<span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"><span style="font-size:medium;">Some of you know that I've been planning DD’s wedding for quite some time now. Well it was Friday night and was absolutely enchanting. I was captivated by the entire service. I loved the music and the way that my family showcased their musical talents, but didn’t “Show-off”. Lon sang “Parent’s Prayer”, My son and daughter, the duet “Captivate Us”, then of course the men’s chorus (13 this year) sing “Me and My House” a tradition of many years now. The reception was worth all the hard work I put into it too. This was certainly a bit more involved than from my son’s wedding back in May! Wow, the decisions to make.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"><span style="font-size:medium;">We fed quite a crew the next day at church for a gathering and gift opening. With a 6:00 wedding on a Friday, it was hard to get to talk to everyone. No <i>that</i> was a lot of work to fee 100 by yourself! DH helped. A lot, but there is much to put away and tablecloths to wach and napkins to wasy (why do they spit food into them anyway?)</span></span><br><br><span style="font-size:medium;"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';">I had planned to lose 20 pounds before the wedding but decided on a low cut dress instead, sneaky, huh? Oh, on a running note, I ran once in February, last Saturday, then came down with cold/virus that I’m still fighting.(what a week to be sick!) I did run yesterday morning since I was up at 4:30! Still the same, about 5 miles around the lake in about an hour. I was pleased with that.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"><span style="font-size:medium;">We are headed to Sioux Falls to check into a whirlpool suite somewhere. We are going to try to get a good deal on a Sunday checkin – ha! The fund are running out….. I’ll be back to work on Tuesday. See you all soon. I'll try to post a photo later, my pc is acting up now so time to re-boot.</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"><span style="font-size:medium;">~S</span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">Me and MrStarr</span></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306746973.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">Monica, Ryan and My mom</span></span> (her 93rd birthday was last Wednesday!)<br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306747036.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">The wedding party</span></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306746993.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">The bride and groom at the head table.</span></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306747040.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">Bouquets</span></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306747057.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">My niece and her two boys at the reception.</span></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306747045.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">The buffet lines</span></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306747049.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">The gift table and slide show</span></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306747053.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><span style="font-size:medium;">The mothers of the couple (Cheryl is 15 years younger than me!)</span></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/306770719.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>

Congrats on the wedding! Both my son & daughter are also engaged but I think that the daughter is going to have a NYC wedding where I just have to show up and look appropriately motherly. Actually I want to be thin and gorgeous (the better to show up my former hubby....hahaha). For my son, I may end up doing a bunch of the work and possibly holding it in my condo's clubhouse.<br><br>
Looking forward to pictures!

Knowing how much love, energy and time you invested in this wedding I am not surprised it turned out magically well. You look gorgeous Starrunner, that dress is perfect for you.<br><br>
Now, please rest, relax (maybe start that memory quilt project we talked about once <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif">) and most importantly savor the memory of such a happy moment.

You look absolutely stunning, Starr. The dress is elegant and beautiful; I just love it on you. Your mom is really something too; looks like you'll have the healthy longevity gene. And the bride is gorgeous. Groom's not so bad either. <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><br>

What a beautiful wedding this must have been. I love all the pretty red bridesmaid dresses. I once attended a wedding where the bride wore a red formal dress -- that was sure a change from the traditional white or ivory.<br><br>
Congrats to you and the family -- glad you can relax now. I only have boys so not sure how much I'll get to participate when they marry.

Thanks for all your kind comments everyone. I am sorry that we didn't get away to enjoy our whirlpool suite as planned. I slept in on Sunday while MrStarr did my paper route. I got up around 8am and worked on washing tablecloths and napkins. He finally got up at 2pm and had the flu, temp was 102.8 and aches and pains all over and coughing. I still have a cough, but didn't get the fever and aches. I was able to run a mile and a half on Monday, but it's too hard on my lungs right now to be outside. I <i>have</i> been resting.<br><br>
ksrnr, the dresses are actually "cranberry" and the bridesmaids picked their own dresses and they weren't even the same brand. One bm had a dress from 5 years ago so they wanted her to be able to re-use the dress (Econo would be so proud). We used cranberries in the frozen centerpieces and in the ice candles outside.<br><br>
Since we use the church gym for Awana games for the kids on Wed. night, we had less than 24 hours to transform it into a reception hall for a captivating evening. It was amazing the amount of help we had that night.<br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/307344202.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/307344203.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><b>I wanted to show you the cake too!</b></span><br><img alt="" src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL738/3482718/17094092/307344204.jpg" style="border:0px solid;">
