I can't figure out Easy's nefarious baby plans. There is some reason why he is trying to keep us dicombobulated, but I'm not sure why. Case in point:

1. He wakes up at 4:00 am and is bright eyed and chipper for about an hour. Then he goes back to sleep.

2. On Friday, the folks at the daycare said he'd been taking unsupported steps all day long. Over the weekend, he showed no inclination to walk at all. Then today while in the nursery at the YMCA, they claim he walked across the room by himself while I was gone. He has yet to demonstrate this skill in front of me.

3. He resists any and all nursing before bedtime, but as soon as I lay him down, he protests and cries until I pick him up and nurse him.

4. Every time Miss S does something I want to scold her for, like sitting on Easy, trying to pick him up, etc. He rewards her by laighing his head off.

If only I could figure out what he's up to...

Duh. He wanted his own thread in the PRT!!!

I feel your pain, though! The Tot does the same thing when TinyE tries to smush him. And he wants to nurse, but refuses to wait for let-down so then he gets mad and wants a bottle. So I get a bottle, and all he does is root for me. ??!!!?!

They're silly creatures, for sure!!

Jebba, you must be dying to see Easy walk!!

Colby, Roman does the same thing, not wanting to wait for the letdown. He won't take a bottle though. (oops! my bad!) So he fusses and cries and makes faces and then my milk lets down anyway and sprays him in the face and THEN he's happy!

I just got a half hour of uninterrupted silly-smile-time from BOTH boys, so I am in baby-love right now! Roman smiled himself right to sleep! Joel is sitting in the swing, facing me, grinning and babbling away, and all I'm doing is looking up and saying his name once in awhile.

I am, but I am also feeling really nostalgic that my baby is growing up. He'll be a year old next week, sniff, sniff. I don't think he's going to be nursing much longer, either. Miss S nursed until well past three years, and Easy just doesn't seem to find it as important.

Awww...already a year old? I can't believe it!

I'm already starting to feel those pangs. My boys are so much bigger already than they were at birth, and I just look at the first pictures of them and I am so amazed at how tiny they were.

Of course, I'm loving the smiles...but I'd love to be able to snuggle them one in each arm that easily again!

Personally, I'm impressed with (and a little jealous of) how much fun Romy can find in checking out her own feet. They make her very happy.
