So I decided to join the running group for a run, thought it be good for me to a social run. There was a special giveaway...so a lot of people showed up. I'm running and talking to people I used to run with eve weekend but haven't seen for 3-4 years. I sudden trip and fall...and not over anything. Someone said I rolled and popped up as fast as an NFL player

No, you're not a doofus. Or if you are a doofus you have me as company, me and perhaps thousands of other runners who have a temporary human-pavement interface anomaly.

Or you could say that we all forget the first rule of running: Left, Right, Repeat. Glad you weren't hurt.

Hah! You have a long ways to go before you can beat me as a doofus. I have fallen FOUR (4) times this year. The last one about 4 weeks ago which gave me a badly bruised left elbow and arm as well as a lot of missing skin off my left knee. My doctor said I should refrain from running for 6-8 weeks. Like most runners, I listened to him and said thank you. I did a 14 mile group run yesterday and man it felt good. Best of all, I did not fall. And what my doctor doesn't know won't hurt him.

On the other hand Aflac is paying me $300.00 for my trouble in addition to my medical insurance covering the doctor's costs.

Ouch. That hurts...the pride.

I fall down more than anyone I know. Mr Aire loves for me to wear heels. Worst.combo.ever.

On Thurs, wearing some really high heels, I tried to get my mail. The box is new, so the lid stuck and my starbux ended up splashing all over me and hitting the ground. I picked it up, stepped forward, and faceplanted--in a dress. All in front of my house.

Guess I"m in that club, too. Last weekend I was doing the Koman 3-Day for the Cure. I was walking in the street, then for whatever reason decided to step up onto the sidewalk. My foot failed to clear the curb and I fell flat. The two girls I was walking with stopped to be sure I was okay. The guy behind us walked around. Nice... Oh, and I screwed up my right shoulder, again.
