Good Morning,

Got up a little late and now I am trying to get my butt out the door for a run. My heel is a little sore this morning so I am guessing there will be at least 1 walk break in there.

The kids are off for Christmas break so I will be working from home all week.

Later.

Eric,
Hope your heel doesn't interfere with the run too much.
How long do your kids have for break? Do they go back on Monday the 2nd?

Football rant:
Packers lost yesterday....pffft...the defense is even worse than I thought. Holy crap, people....play with some intensity and a sense of urgency, would ya?
And the o-line needs to borrow a couple of big eaters from the Badgers.
Sheesh. Hope they have enough in the tank to beat da bears and lions and get home field for the playoffs.

good morning. i slept relatively well last night but had a crazy dream around 4am that freaked me out. Zoe had so much fun at my running group's holiday party last night, she did not want to leave. she was the life of the party. Not sure what we will do today, probably run some errands and hang out.

Good Morning.... Trying to get motivated. I was hoping I still had some compliance training to do for the year since I don't feel like underwriting loans, but, alas... I finished it all

We had a good weekend... I had the kids this weekend and we baked cookies ALL WEEKEND.... we made over 20 dozen so far... still a bit to go, but it's looking like the Christmas tins will be bountiful and tasty. And the boys are so proud of their help, which is the best part.

Christmas shopping is done. Not as much "stuff" as in years past. It sure seemed like the prices nearly doubled for toys this year... could just be me, but it just felt expensive!

Got JR an acoustic guitar (he has an electric and has been taking some "lessons" at school). If any of you are guitar people, I got him a Fender T-bucket CE (I got it in a Suburst design). It's beautiful in my opinion. I hope he likes it and really starts to practice. I wish I knew how to play... I really, really love listening to it.

Here's what it looks like:

We've been shopping for guitars since the beginning of the school year, and whenever we go into the stores, Jax picks up a ukelele and walks around playing it. That said, I got him this:

It's just soooo cute!

So, remind me how excited I am in a few months when I'm bitching about all the noise in the house, ok?

There won't be a ton to unwrap (they each got about 4 or 5 other things like video games and misc other toys plus some clothes), but they both got nice things and things I think they will use, like, and have for years to come. Should be a very Merry Christmas.

Nice guitar! Guitars aren't bad. Son2 was taking electric guitar lessons. Hey, guy, I"m paying for lessons. When are you going to practice?! Turns out he was. Blisters proved it was true. I never heard it.

I went to do some baking this afternoon and discovered I'm out of sugar. That will be corrected this evening!

we won't have a whole lot under the tree this year. All the kids have asked for big ticket items. We're spending about the same, just only one or two things per kid.

That's what's happening here as well. They get nicer gifts as they get older, just less of them.

Tonight we finish the cookies and candies and start packing up tins and platters. Thursday night we finish painting the ornaments we're giving out. It's been a fun couple of weeks!
