Okay kickrunners, time for our next virtual event. It starts Thanksgiving week the 19th of November and ends 02 January 2008.<br><br>
For those of you unfamiliar with this its basically a way to stay motivated through the busy holiday season, with daily events and activities that promote health, wellness, and fitness. By participating in each event you get points, plus you get points each day you do any type of fitness related activity (for at least twenty minutes)<br><br>
Here is an example of some of this years activities
<ul><li>Wear your seat belt</li>
<li>Getting your blood pressure checked</li>
<li>Giving up junk food</li>
</ul>
The teams consist of three people, and once teams are formed, you need to come up with a holiday/fitness themed team name (such as Three French Hens, Batteries Not Included, Christmas Treesome, etc)<br><br>
The week runs from Monday through Sunday, and a designated team captain can report team points to me via email or private message.<br><br><br>
I will upload the calendar for viewing, I can email one to you, and each days events will be available on a calendar here. I will also post each days activity in a separate thread each day.<br><br>
Some of the riff raff folks are familiar with this event as we have done this three or four times at those various sites.<br><br>

This is a great way to stay motivated through the holiday's and is a lot of fun. I hope everyone enjoys it, as it has been very successful when I have done it before.<br><br>

This sounds like a great time! Especially the idea of trying a new activity or habit here and there. Do you need any suggestions for wellness/fitness activities? If so, I'll be happy to pitch in!<br><br>
For me, can every calendar day be "Do not eat any frosted sugar cookies today!" ? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy">

For every day you exercise, you get 10 points, plus each day there are various health and wellness activities that give you additional points.<br><br>
Just exercise and follow the calendar, pretty simple really.<br><br>
Oh and you need two teammates

I think we're supposed to form our own. That's how we did it last time...come over to the find a team thread and find your partners!!!!<br><br>
I'd like to "meet" some of the people here I don't know yet....this would be a fun way to do it. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">

I'm going to travel for about two weeks from Thanksgiving into December.<br><br>
Is this a game where everyday posting is required, or can I come to post my activities on a more sporadic basis?<br><br>
I don't what to join if I am hindering my team.
