Chose NOT to run before getting in the car to start the drive home from my parent's house, I got yelled at by my trainer. "You would have been fine, sheesh, ya pansy!" Good thing we have a good relationship.......people think we're sisters we gripe so much with each other at the gym.

Sooooo....
since tomorrow is the day to drive (part 1), I must get on the road before hand to get at least an hour of running in.

BUT.....it's supposed to be 26 in the morning time:

6am
22°F
Sheesh.

I had to hunt in the super secret closet that my dad just built to see if there was an extra knit hat to wear.

I'm pretty sure that with my socks and thermal tights, my "bottom" will be ok. But, I'm wondering if I'll need more up top than my runderwear top, a 2nd long sleever, and a fleece zip up jacket. I can put one of my ear warmers around my neck to help with that, too. Oh...gloves I've got, too.

I knew I would be a bit open to ridicule from those of you who know what REAL cold is. But, I live in 'bama for a reason! I don't do regular cold.

But, I"m finding that I run better in the cold....go figure. The best I felt this vacay was the run in the cold rain that I did. Felt great during, AND after.

I did a light long sleeve and an old sweatshirt today. it was, I just found out colder than I thought. A good hat and a soft scarf for covering my nose/neck. Kept me good.
my cheap knit gloves/ the kind that are really tiny and stretch to fit were not sufficient. Everyone at CR said to get those gloves for cold weather. Since I have a dozen pair scattered about I thought great. Not so..
anyone have a better glove suggestion?

Sticher, you'll probably be ok if it's not windy. Please make double triple sure you run out into the wind so it's at your back on the way back in.
I usually like one normal tech t, one thick LS tech shirt, and something windproof.
Mel and stitch - I find gloves intended for biking to be phenomenal - I have some made by cannondale that are not too thick but windproof and mostly water resistant and they're the best.
