I mean there is a huge difference between New Hampster and say, COnnecticut.? SO NH at all?

Dad lives in Boston, Mom & sibs live in RI, so those are the only two definites. I'm flying into boston and I'll be at dad's place from the 18th-21st, then with mummy up through christmas. I'd also like to get up to VT for a quick visit to see the college buds, which would be beginning of the following week. I'd also like to make a day trip to CT to visit some grad school peeps and my old internship site. So pretty much everywhere but NH

And after living in WY for a few months now, I refute the 'huge difference'! :p

My walmart trip when I'm doing my errands would be the equivalent of me driving from RI to NH, and I make that trip once every 1-2 weeks. And that's when I'm not making an extended weekend trip like going to Boulder; which would be the equivalent of RI-northern VT!

I grew up in Oregon and went to college in Colorado.

When I graduated, I had a job interview in Connecticutt. I figured Hartford would be the most convenient place to fly to, but I could not for the life of me find an airport symbol on the map anywhere near the city.

I looked again after the travel agent had booked my ticket (thereby confirming that the city did have an airport), and finally found the symbol I was looking for - way up at the top of the map, halfway between the city and the Mass. state line. That's when I looked at the map's scale.

The airport is maybe eight miles from downtown Hartford.

On the maps of the states I was used to, that same map distance was equivalent to ~60 miles of highway distance!

Heck, out west we've got cities that wouldn't fit inside some of your New England states.

Bradley Airport ftw!!!

Maybe it's a new england thing with airports being someplace other than advertised....T.F. Green in Providence (but really Warwick) is like that too. Fortunately our states are so damn small it doesn't matter. Kennedy Airport in NYC (but really long island) is considerably pain in the ass-er than the previou two, but mainly due to traffic flow issues.
