Eventually. It could happen any number of ways, but it’s gonna happen. If nothing else, the universe is gonna wink out of existence in 500 gazillion year. I know some folks that believe Christ is coming back during their lifetime. Others are certain we’re gonna wipe ourselves out via global war. I’m not looking for date and time, but how long do you personally believe we have left as a race?

It’s a poll, wait for it.

I figure if we survive the next 100 years we'll be pretty good from a global war perspective. Then we just need to sort out the carrying capacity issue. Who knows if we'll make it 100 years. For my kids sake I certainly hope so.

I said my lifetime. I really can't race any longer than that. Don't know how you all can race for thousands of years...

What about genetically engineering ourselves obsolete? I said 50,000 until we've regressed back to hunter/gatherer (100 percent runner population) and all get eaten by cats.

I said 10,000. I figure modern humans have been around for, what, 250,000 years? We've dominated the planet for quite a while, and have become as efficient at procreation/multiplication as just about any other multicellular organism. There's only one way for us to go (devolution/extinction) and those kinds of collapses move pretty quickly I think.
