Ugh. Serious food hangover. Best mashed potatoes on the planet, though -- with heaping quantities of cream cheese, sour cream and butter added.

Great job RA and RA's DW!

Hawk- stay strong, you can make it at least a few more days.

Good/Embarrassing race for me yesterday. Good because it was a very solid effort given the shape I was in, bad because of the shape I was in. For the first time at this race, I could have signed up for their clydesdale division (200+)- so I wasn't expecting a lot. Was able to run very consistently close to 7 minute miles for the first four, then mustered a 6:35ish final mile for a 34:35.

Hopefully I'm able to hit the roads harder than the buffet table in December.

Chances, I hear ya on the food hangover. I think I gained 5lbs.

Mailbox - solid is a reference to your race or body? Either way, nice sandbagger finish!

Jebba - safe travels.

Hawk - yeah, I've also been trying to hold myself back of late. Hopefully we can bounce smoothly back during December and move into the New Year, and next marathon cycle, with vim and vigour.

No running today, just family time.

The guy who pipped me for the AG win yesterday dropped me a note re winter training. Turns out I see him a lot on the bike path - he's always hammering along and is going to Boston off a 2:46 marathon plus does 20 milers at 7mpm pace. Yikes! Luckily he seems to be slower in 2011 than 2010... Anyway, always good to meet and train with other folks. DW is in the same situation with a women who's on my (e)mailing list for our Sunday runs - they may be able to run together during the week.
