Looks like only dw and I plus her parents for Thanksgiving this year. Kids will be able to come at Christmas. DW's sis and family going to Dallas. Others we invited have other obligations. So no big turkey this year. Chicken and a some ham. I love ham sandwiches later.

no run for me yet. 7 miles tonight.

Our second biggest race of the year is our Thanksgiving turkey trot 4 miler Thanksgiving morning. Weather looks good with only 54 degrees and little wind. This year we are racing Portland, Maine as they have the same distance race. If we win they send lobster; if they win we send some steaks. Should be fun. We have a couple local guys who should be able to run a little under 20 mins.

Hi KS & rip....no run today, had to work, rain held off till about 10 minutes before we quit, so that was nice. Running in the rain OK.....working in the rain...not so much.

Kicking around whether to do the local Turkey trot, it's an 8 miler. Last time I ran this it was 4 years ago, wanted to do it as a tempo run, had to slow down to 8 minute miles several times, finishing in 1:04. Now I'd be lucky to finish it in 1:12, if that. Still, I might give it a go, if I can force myself to get up at 5AM, drive 40 miles in the dark, stand in line and register. Now that I'm looking at that in black and white, it doesn't sound that good. .

Nothing going on here on Thanksgiving, just Mrs. Johnny & myself. Thanksgiving being the one day of the year I regret not eating meat.
