<p>Your kind words about the loss of our Eve meant so much to me.  It's still so un-real to me that I can't believe she is gone.  The smallest things set me off right now.  Even eating a banana brought me to tears as I thought, "I don't have anyone to share my bananas with anymore."  The funny thing is, she was only a beggar when it came to fruit...apples, oranges, strawberries and bananas.  She didn't beg for anything else, though her favorite reward for work was carrots.  </p>

<p>I don't know when the raw emotions will go away, but knowing that there are people out there who care and know what I am going through is a comfort.  </p>

<p>Thank you all from both Tracy and me.  You are truly great friends.</p>

<p>The dog I grew up with (got her when I was 6) had to be put down when I was 18.  It sucked big time.  It gets better in time.  I promise. </p>
