Hooray, the week is finally over. Too bad I got a test on Monday but I'll live. Who else is watching the trials tomorrow morning? I'm definitely pumped for that.

Only about 1.5 more days now...I'm getting excited.

Have an awesome weekend.

7:35am or 6:35am central - I may pick it up at the 1/2 way point. I am very excited about this years trials. 9 people from WI qualified, but only 6 are running. I am hoping that it is not a strategic race, but that it has a brisk pace on the tough course - weather conditions are suppose to be close to ideal.

11 really slow miles for me this morning - 1st time my body was willing to go in the morning - thats a good thing.

Good running to all -

Me too! I'll be tuning in to www.nbcsports.com as soon as I get home from my run tomorrow morning. I think with Abdi, Meb, Khalid and Ryan Hall running, you can be assured that the pace will be blazing from the start. I'm rooting for Ryan Hall in a big way, as I think he has the potential to be an amazing marathon runner.

I ran 4 miles of recovery this morning. Nothing too exciting. I'm excited to feel this fresh though on a 70 mile week. That's a lot of miles for me.

Rest day here with a long run tomorrow.

Most likely there'll be some yoga happening later.

3.2 miles 26:45 (8:22). First mile was 8:45 and I progressively sped up from there.

Then upper body weights & crunches. Feeling stronger, nice to get back to the old routine of things.

A glorious 6 miles at lunch. 45 and sunny with a light breeze. PERFECT. Ran a very comfortable and relaxed 8:20 pace with a buddy. Did I say it was perfect?

Hi everyone.

I went for what is probably my last after-work run of the complete length of the Merrimack River Trail. At least for this year.

With the time change coming this weekend, I will not have time to do the length of the trail after work anymore. I could probably still do 4 or 5 milers up there, but given my goals for the rest of the year, there will not be many 4 or 5 milers this year.

The run was nice, but tough again due to leaves on the trail.

Oh, some of you might remember that earlier this year I was happy to run on the trail because it was cooler on the trail in the woods and such? Remember when I said that and it was 90+ outside? Well tonight I noticed that same effect...it was far cooler on the trail than it was out in the parking lot before I left for the run.

Run Segments
No way. I am starting my Saturday morning run at 5:30 though. The 4:00 AM start was a very rare occurrence. Go Tigers!
