Off day today and tomorrow I'll go out for 6, hopefully with my Coach and have 30 for the week right where I want to be. I could've run today and tomorrow but I am playing it safe with the increases since soon I'll be in unchartered territory. Hoping for about 34 next week.

Have a great day.

Rest day here too. Long, long run planned for tomorow! Then I'll be in taper mode. I am kind of sad. I have really enjoyed this training cycle and felt great on 50+ mpw during the peak. It makes me wonder about someday going up from there.

Alex, good that you're building up smartly.

I know you said you were doing a somewhat modified version of Pfitz? I'd love to see what you did if you are willing to share (PM me if you are!). I was WIPED by the time I hit taper - never wanted to run again. Maybe I'm just not cut out to do 18 weeks at 45+ mpw! I dunno.

Hi Jen -- Sure, I will follow up with you about this later this weekend. I'm heading out right now to drive to MD.

I don't think I've done the full 18 weeks at 45+, because my coach almost forcibly had to hold me back as to not reinjure my foot which was smart ... most at 40+ though but also I've had a few cut-back weeks thrown in.

Anyway, I'll look back in my log and be in touch. If you really like to be bored, I'll just send you the link and password to the log!

It was a beautiful day yesterday: sunny, about 55 degrees. I went down to our local bike path (paved). It's the only substantial distance that's FLAT around here. I did 10 miles at a 9:30 pace (which is great for me) and felt good at the end. Yay!
