Hope everyone enjoys their Friday and has a great weekend. With my 7/12s shift, Friday is just another day.

Julie - does PX90 incorporate yoga? I've done a little bit of the PX90 in some circuit work that a tri-peep had us doing, but I don't remember any yoga like stuff.

Thor - you're welcome on the workout, glad you liked it. And nice job with it. Those flat sections seem so easy after the 4% grade, don't they?

Yoshi - As I mentioned before, I have to do most of my runs on the TM at 0% grade or else I start getting strange aches and pains. As Thor said, it's not the same as being outside.

Moderately hard workout today.

15 min WU

2 strides followed by 3 min recovery jog

3 x 10 min @ slightly faster than MP (5:49 min/mi) with 4 min recovery

15 min CD

11.1 mi in 1:15.

Then did some foam roller work. The glutes were a bit sore from yesterday's lunges. Gotta hit the roller with more consistency.

TGIF, peeps!

Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Alaska Mike: No kidding! Those flat sections felt like running DOWNHILL! I know you get that. Wild. Just wild. I nearly ran into the treadmill station when I finally put the incline down. What I really like about the faster, shorter intervals at 4% were that they were much like my top end intervals I was doing last year -- they force you up on your feet, to run with perfect form and strong cadence. If you don't do that you can't keep up. The incline makes it so.

Me...

4.5 mile run early this very cold morning at probably 4F.

Hobey, wow, that went by fast! (faster for you, I'm sure!).

I've been out of the multisport loop, but still working out. I found two new moms who like to run, and we have done stroller runs together 1-2 days a week, although the snow has impacted. Some swimming after Eli's swim lesson, but he's going through nap changes, teething, learning to crawl... all upsetting his sleep, so sometimes we need to go right home for a nap and I miss swimming. And, the trainer once or twice a week, from 30-60 minutes usually, depending on when Eli wakes up.

Otherwise, I've been busy with Eli's storytime and swim lessons and getting him out to be around other kids (and me around other moms!). It's so cumbersome to type on the iPhone and to navigate through KR - wish there was an app!! I'm on my computer now working on a freelance project for my former employer. My mom is here visiting, taking care of Eli while I work. Another week and a half and back to normal. And, if the weather will ever cooperate (yes, even I'm sick of snow now!!) I'll get back to a regular workout schedule.

Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend! Look foward to checkign in more often soon!!

Not sure what I'm up to today. Friday is normally rest day, but I had a totally pathetic trainer workout last night. Ended up bailing just 7 minutes into the 20-min interval, just 22 minutes total including warm-up. So...might be re-doing that one.

Busy busy at work. Lots of clients came with us, so I know we'll be okay once we get the cash pipeline full, but man oh man is it taking a long time to fill that baby.

Congrats on the new job Thor!

Yes! It's day 4 and it's 90 minute LONG..........I did the first 60 minutes, really a wonderful strength and flexibility workout that leaves you sweaty and feeling great. Per Tony, the flexibility is very important for all of us...........as a 44 year old, I have to agree :)

Beth - it's so hard balancing everything, but glad to hear you found some running moms!!

Hearing so many people getting in the pool is motivating me to actually sign up for a tri. :)

Another week of doing Saturday's run on Friday...this time because the service for my friend's daughter is tomorrow morning. Figured I may not be in the right frame of mind, so took it out on the treadmill today. Put on Dora for the little ones and did a combo of speed and hills for 6 miles and felt good. I tried to get the kids on their bikes and run alongside them for the cool down, but they pooped out after 0.2. Ha! Finished up on the treadmill instead.

Beth - good to hear how you are doing! keep up the good work, Mom!!

Mike - I have been adding no incline to TM. My Mizuno is a sort of suspect too. Thus I have been wearing them only for a short run.

hobey - good luck with going back to the work. That would be challenging, I would guess.

10.3miles including 8miles at 8:04 ave. Ahhh, nice to run outside (about 16F?). The target was goal MP (8:20), but with no GPS watch, I went too fast as usual and it didn't feel that difficult. Pretty consistent pace and it only became to 'comfortably challenging' toward the end. Pretty happy about how it went in the middle of what it will be a 60mpw.
