Meh. Penalty, shmenalty. No biggie. If you come in a few minutes early it doesn't matter. The difference between 9:30 and 8:50 for a typical 6 mile leg is only about 5-6 minutes. Everybody else guessed on their paces, too. You are going to have a lot of fun at this, you know.

Hushpuppies... first time I had ever heard of those was in home ec in 7th grade. Why in the hell they had us make those, when there are so many better-for-you things we needed to know, I'll never understand.

Sorry to hear about the bullying, BTY, regardless of the size differences. Interesting that it's physical, usually it's verbal when the bully is the smaller kid. Hope it works out, but yes... stop means stop and no means no. Nice running for you, too. Your cooldown was faster even with the headwind because you were all warmed up, I bet.

Hi Mike! Your run to work sounds similar to my run from work. I do that on Wednesdays and this week added a little extra to get 11.3 MOH. Fun stuff.

ksrunr, congrats to both you and Julie on your race at OKC. I don't think you posted your final time here (I didn't see it) but heard from someone that you ran a 3:08... wow. Very nice.

Heme, I've got a big running weekend, too. And I think Tammy is running a 20 miler on Mother's Day Sunday just like I am. Sure hope it goes better than the attempt two weeks ago. We can all think positive thoughts and support each other that way!

Last night's run was 6.2 miles of relatively easy effort with a couple of hill-like things in the form of overpasses. Today was just 3.8 really easy out-and-back behind campus. Tomorrow is a 5k, first race in our local series, then I'll do more to make 10 for the day. And 20 on Sunday. That's the plan, at least.
