Morning peeps!

Boy do I need some yoga, but sadly it isn't going to happen today other than poses I do at home. I'm parking in the farther-away spot today for a longer walk, so I'll probably have closer to 3 miles by the end of the day. I try to take it at a pretty good clip now that it's not 100* out, so that's good.

Some really super running and stuff going on here. KP, that testing you did sounds soooo cool! I'd end up with terrible numbers right now, but it's still something that I'd love to know.

Off to start the other thread! Good runs and workouts to everyone!

Brain farts this morning.

And a chiro appmt. It's a scheduled day off - woohoo. I'll be lugging 50lb bags of glaze around, and then 5gal buckets full of mixed up glaze, so that should count for something.

Super excited for Maria and the NYC Marathon this weekend!

I got 4.25 miles done this morning w/ 8 x 100m strides mixed in. It was a chilly 24 degrees. Fun!

No run today, but I'll have a long one tomorrow. Sure, there'll be many stops along the way and booze had at each one. And food. And food and more booze and dancing at the end. But it's all good, right?

Good morning, ladies. TGIF!

From yesterday, yay to KP being a fit old man.

I didn't run yesterday. I got my fitness by spending more time up in the attic replacing the insulation. This project is going to kill me...

I'll run today, though. And tomorrow I'll attempt something semi-long. Double-digits, at least, which I haven't done in a month. I have no idea how far I'll go, but I'll do whatever I can...

Best of luck to Maria on Sunday, and anyone else racing this weekend!

Nothing for me. I don't feel good today. I'll run this weekend both days. And hopefully come up with a spring plan and a fresh training program to start on Monday. I start yogalates again on Sunday - can't wait.

Morning

Ran 3 last night with pup and DH. Then I went back to SW for a review of the last shoe she put me in. Final diagnosis was that my right foot was painin' because I was actually putting an equal amount of weight on it. I asked for a softer shoe though to help with the pain and we agreed on one (brooks glycerine). It doesn't align me quite right but it'll help transition me to a better posture whilst running and keep me running. Those other ones were just too much right now. She also suggested that I use a golf ball to eradicate my heel spur? Anyone else done this/heard of it? Lemme know. Sounds painful but I would like the spur to go away if possible.

Cross training yesterday as well as we got the new X box toy. Got the dance game (so fun) and sports and something else too. It is quite the workout and a lot of fun. I am not happy about the fact it takes pictures of YOU while you are doing it and then replays them for you. I do NOT need to see myself try to dance. Just saying.

Not sure on running today. Drivinig up to my parents after work to visit.

nothing for me last night, but I'll try to get out after work today for another short run. Miss P's back with DX, so I have a little less motivation. Plus it's m.i.s.e.r.a.b.l.e out but not really cold. 20mins is all I plan to do anyway...

No workouts for me since lunchtime Tuesday. Friends came over earlier than expected Wednesday, and last night I was VERY sick to my stomach. Got a sub for the boot camp class I was scheduled to sub this morning. Bleh.

Oh, and despite being so sick yesterday, I somehow managed to gain 4 pounds in a day. Awesome.

Greetings, all.

4M on the hamster wheel last night. Had planned on 5 but the legs are still feeling pretty tired. Grr. Core + bi/tri work is done for today.

Tomorrow I had planned on going to a race event at Stone Mountain. The Atlanta track club has an event where folks can do 5, 10 or 15 miles. (1 lap = 5 miles). I figured I would do the 10 miler, but between having tired legs + our sudden drop to 30 degree temps.. I'm not so sure I want to be out there tomorrow. I'm a little afraid of getting at maybe 7 miles, tiring, and having to walk the last 3 in cold, sweaty clothes. Yuck.

Good luck on Sunday, Maria-babe! Woohoo!

Morning all! Got myself out to the park this morning for the NYRR 5 race, it's an inaugural deal and I used it to test out a few marathon paces & keep my legs loose. TONS and TONS of runners in the park this morning: running the race, just running and/or getting their picture taken by the line of international flags or the NYCM finish line. It's such a fun time to be here! Anywho, I ran 7.05 miles total with MP ranging from 8:25-8:44. Really unsure where I'll end up on Sunday and don't want to focus on splits so much as running a negative split race and, of course, having a blast. Thanks for all of the love!

Oh, I found out they're doing a Beer Mile BEFORE the running house crawl tomorrow. I don't think I'll take part. I'm just thinking the house crawl itself with be enough drinking and running for me. A Beer Mile beforehand would likely make things pretty rough!
