Wow, I'm tired today. It's not because of how I slept last night. I slept fine. Maybe it's becuase I've already got a lot of miles under my belt this week. I think I need to get to bed really early tonight so that I'll have some energy for 20+ miles tomorrow...

Morning Gang -

Lora - sorry your leg is acting up again. So frustrating. Have you asked him if an extended period of complete rest - like a month - would fix it? I know it'd be torture to you, but it seems like it's just re-tweaking/injuring when you are using it. Hope it heals soon!

Saw Missy's cute little Allie over in the fun thread. So sweet!

Yep, get to bed early for that 20 miler boB. I have my first 20 miler of this cycle on Sunday.

I got up ultra early and got 12 miles in today. This is the highest mileage week of the plan with two mid-week 12 milers and a 20 miler as the main runs. So far so good.

Good runs and rests to all.

Done with an easy 6 miles. Much cooler weather here...69 degrees with low humidity for a change. Sippin on some post run coffee from O'Henry's. Yeah it's Friday, and my boss is on vacation today, so should be an uneventful day workwise.

Didn't run this morning, didn't have time. But I hope to get one in later. We're heading to the campground to spend some time with DH's parents. There's lots of good running to be had there, especially on the sandy beach.

I'm doing the Cobequid Trail Half Marathon on sunday. Although I've been getting some long runs in, this will be my longest since having Evelyn. Looks like it's going to be a nice day for weather!

Happy 4th birthday, Lowry! She didn't want to get out of bed until I reminded her it was her birthday - then she hopped right out of there as if to say "Sweet - let the spoiling begin! All praise me on my birthday!" I'm taking a half day so I can pick her up from school - of course, that allows me enough time to get in 10-12 miles mid-day before school ends, and the weather is pretty sweet so I'm digging it today.

Solar - still not convinced about the Castor Semenya situation...I'm going to have to conduct my own visual inspection! ;)

When I went to bed, I planned on a run in the morning. When i woke up, there was no run happening.

Hi all - 10.25 mi late yesterday in more typical weather for the region (somewhat warmish, steady 10-15 mph breeze.) Probably will head out for swimming after work today. Working on planning out a longish run tomorrow (18 mi or 2 hr 45 min, whichever comes first) but trying to work on sleeping in as well - not sure if that's really doable, but we'll see.

Happy birthday to your DD, Pacer!

Brandy - when I saw your email about seeing Meg she wasn't home yet, so I texted her "Did you like playing with the puppy at Gear West?" and she was freaked out and like "How did you know about that?" I told her "I told you - mom and dad always have a way of knowing what you are up to - don't ever forget that!" He he he. Hopefully she WILL remember that and will stay out of trouble since she thinks I have eyes everywhere!

She said the puppy was cute and had "baby fat" and was chunky.

Woo hoo - it was AWESOME out there this morning. 57 degrees and slightly breezy. I only had time for 9 miles, but they felt great and I could have easily done more if I had time.

I am going to jump into a 5K tomorrow morning. Since Chicago is questionable, I have decided to jump in a bunch of races and just have some fun. I haven't raced much this summer and do not want to miss the boat.

oooooooh - I still haven't seen Allie - off to the fun thread I go!!

Cindi - that is AWESOME!!! Tell Meg that she didn't offend me by asking if I worked there. I wish I did! I could use the extra discounts and I could bring my dog to work :)

Greetings all. I got my 5M in yesterday, but wussed out and didn't make it to spinning for my bonus round of fitness. Ahh well.

Today is a rest day. Tomorrow I'm in a 5k event. Not that I'm racing it by any means, but it will be neat to see if i can beat my time from last year, at least. The race also has some fairly nice door prizes, so maybe I'll get lucky. Also, after a storm last night, a cold front seems to have moved in, and it was ever so slightly cool this morning. I hope that tomorrow morning is the same way!

Morning. Another nice day so far. It might warm up a little bit today. Did an easy 7 miles last night. It's amazing what this cooler and drier air is doing to my legs. They're starting to feel alive again.

Went to everybody's favorite shoe person last night. She put me in a neutral shoe, the Asics Landreth. I was sort of figuring I was going into new shoes. I had been feeling like I've been running on the outside of my feet.

Then she fit me for some flats. I got the Nike Lunar Racers. They are soooooo light. Easily the lightest shoe I've ever had on. Now if only I could run fast.

Big weekend of training. Nice little progression run tomorrow and hopefully 18 on Sunday. Might run with the girls that are running TCM, that will be ambition enough to go longer. Don't wanna get chicked.

Victory 10k - Anybody from MN doing it on Labor Day? I've done it every year I've ran, except the time I did New Haven.

Story of my life. Was in bed at 9:00 last night, prolly asleep by 9:01. Had all my running duds set out in my bedroom, my water bottle n stuff lined up on the kitchen counter, and then didn't set a single alarm. I was lucky I woke up a 6:10 and made it to work on time. fug. What is WRONG with me?
