Didn't get us going yesterday - whoops!

Yesterday - short run with the pup - just about 2 miles. All I had time for...

Today - usual morning dog walk and then am making a trip to the bike shop at lunch to bring the bikes for tune ups...will be without my ride for a bit, but hopefully not too long. Other than that, I am going to try to get another weight session in today...

SB- another "machine to break down" you sound just like me! lol

Yo - good luck with the specialist!

Debating on going to the mountain this weekend. Snow/conditions should be excellent, but that means everyone else will be there too and lift lines might be crazy....

Yesterday went to the "ski track" to "train" for the race on Saturday. All the doctor and work stuff have kept me from trying to prepare. The wind was way up blowing constant snow across the course, packing the tracks with crystals but the sun was out. I was not "feeling it" feeling tired and sleepy. I was goign to go with ski buddy A but she busted her tailbone falling on this course Tuesday and it was quite hard and ice glazed. I skied 5 miles not quite the 11k for Saturday. Today, Friday it is snowing the forecast is for a foot of snow overnight and for artic air to start filtering in along wiht more snow during the race. So...since the race is 40 mountainous miles away the prospects are doubtful. The conditions should be softer. I will prep and pack both my race/track skis and my back country skis tonight and see what's what in the morning. Many roads around the area are already closed. Things could change...For the last 2 years it has stormed hard partway into the race. It was type 2-3 fun. It was not that cold and most racers dropped out, the first year it was -10 and sunny and racers dropped out. This year the forecast says -22 and snowing with winds to 25mph. That should produce enough hazard to cancel the event but so far they haven't' said anything.

In the meantime, I have a strength workout to do I'll go light assuming I'll race tomorrow and then prep and pack skis and do more work.

Yikes! If you are out there, stay safe SB. That sounds like type -100 fun.

Might be the best conditions of the year, Zoj! Are there still any Berkshire resorts? I remember Butternut Basin being a nice little resort, but that's probably long gone by now.

Got on Zwift for a hard Tour de Zwift session (17 flat miles at 5K-type pace in a group), followed by a 6 easy cooldown in virtual Paris...
