Good morning folks. Nice cool morning here. Smaller group ride, only 4 riders but it was a good ride and worked hard with an average of almost 17 and some hills. Thor, our common doctor just shook his head as we talked about TransRockies and I laughed. Have a great day.

Rog: Tell our doctor friend that I hope to NOT see him any time soon. Not that I don't think he's a nice guy or anything. :)

Thor and Rog - is your doctor friend the same doctor friend that used to hang out here? (RS?) if so, tell him I miss him.

7 mile run at long tempo pace (7:13 or better). Splits and HR are as follows:

7:05 - 140
7:03 - 154
7:04 - 157
7:07 - 160
7:07 - 163
7:02 - 165
6:47 - 171

Felt much better today than the run last week at this pace when I was just holding on virtually every mile. Probably could have gone a few more miles before it started to really hurt today, so that's good.

Have a great weekend!!

No, it's another ortho who I run and bike with. Makes it tough when he thought he told me to stop running for a while and I show up for a run.

1800 yard freestyle swim this AM (about 35 minutes).

66 mile ride this afternoon, low 18s. Held over 19 avg for first 51, then petered out and took it home easy-ish for the last 15. Saw the aerial display again - also funniest sight was man riding a bike along beach with a bird on his shoulder. Broke out the percussive massager at home for the first time in a couple of years because my legs felt like toast ... Figured it couldn't hurt to give them a pummeling...

Good weekend all,

Brought the TT bike into work today and got 19 miles at lunch. Pacing Little BrewDad in a 5K tonight. We're giving him a handicap and if he finishes in less than 2X BrewDad's time, he wins.

Ok, let's do the week recap

- Monday 19hr work day

- Tuesday 17hr work day

- Wed 16hr work day + come home and collapse

- Thurs 10hr work day - blew off scheduled hard ride and inserted ez 1hr

- Fri 1hr work head out of town with family - 5mile trail run in 1:06, DAMN GOOD TIME and DAMN tough course. Apparently BMX courses are a bit tougher than normal trails? Had a great run and no music - which is rare for me. Forgot my iPod and STILL had a great run. Legs feel like I just did 15miles though.

Off to Vegas w/ DW tommorrow. Her present for her Birthday considering her birthday was 1 day after my Ironman... we really didn't get to celebrate it much!
