Good morning folks. Got back into the TRX workout this morning and forgot how many pain suspension can cause when you have not done it in a while. Good class. Working from home today and now I have to go dig up the cover to my septic tank, what fun. Glad to see the RTB runners will get good weather.

Rog: Sounds like a crappy job. Okay, lame joke. Sorry. BTW, if you have good top soil to donate, I'm a taker.

5 mile social run early this morning with the usual suspects. We're getting slower and slower. Cool morning. Broke out the long sleeves. Was still mostly dark when we finished. Miss the warm weather already.

The last two weeks I've done a few workouts here and there, other things have held my interest and I don't feel bad about missing workouts for a while. I've kept a pretty solid effort up for a number of years now, I've earned a bit of break.

Decided to pull the plug on the 50 miler in October and will step down to the 50k. I just hadn't put in the work for the 50 miler and though I still think I could have gutted it out on my base, the risk of injury would have been high and the recovery would have been hell. Still planning on heading to NYC in November, but my goal is 'just' to go sub 3.

Back up north and on the treadmill this morning. 8 mi in 1 hr. FIB 10 min of core work and then stretching.

Daily run today. Got it in before the rain. It looks like another gully washer is coming on my side of town. Hopefully my son's XC meet on the other end of the city will be rain free as it looks more clear in that direction. We ended up having 19 teenage XC runners for supper last night. Great bunch! We guessed correctly on how much food to make, but we were sweating when they first started digging in.

Good yo see you Mike!

Believe or not I had to pull out a pair of gloves early morning... 5 easy miles w/ DH. 2000m swim during lunch. I'm swimming only 1/wk these days and I feel smooth/easy but sloooow. Heading to in-laws for BIL's 40th bday party.

Happy Anniversary Yosh!

I swam 30 minutes and did a 20 minute continuous segment with all flip turns. My lungs are starting to adapt (finally) to not breathing so much. That's a record. Then I went and ran 10 miles in a near by forest preserve. Tired, did anaerobic intervals last night for cx, I almost threw up. (of course I should have not eaten so close to the workout)
