Next weekend right? Like you I'm still mulling over "the goal" for NYC. My standard high goal for quite a while now, has been 3:10. PR is 3:20. BQ for my AG is 3:30. I think #1 will be extremely difficult on this course, but #2 is attainable if I run smartly. Depending on the conditions and how the day goes I would still take #3...I have to admit for much of this season I was wondering if even making #3 was a stretch. But I seem to putting it all together late in the game, and am feeling much more confident now.

So I guess I'm settling on 3:20...3:20:40 to be more precise (PR by 1 second).

Saturday Nov 6th in Indianapolis. So, you'll have a time to beat on the 7th I'll probably make a call on pace at 7:59am. Gun is 8:00am. Most likely I'll lag behind the 3:10 pace group until 10k and see what happens.

3:20 sounds a good goal for you. From what I've heard and seen on TV, the course is tough so you have a chance to pull ahead for a PR and a fade buffer to re-BQ. Maybe your weekend 10k will give you the answer?
