This is interesting to me because by necessity or near-necessity I live every day with a constant stream and feedback of numbers. So far today:

2:15 this morning, 72 mg/dl, eat 6 grams of carbs for some buffer.
5:15 AM, 133 mg/dl, 2u of Novolog.
6:35 AM, 159 mg/dl, 5u of Novolog for 30g of carbs
8:30 AM, 165 mg/dl, 7u of Novolog for 32g of carbs
10:30 AM, 60 mg/dl, 12g of carbs

You get the idea, I get kind of obsessed with the numbers at times and at times I want to freak out at all of it.

This morning when I ran I collected a whole bunch more of numbers about how long and my heart rate.

But while running it, I just tried to concentrate on running it with a comfortable feeling and thought a lot about how my form was. The numbers were derived from the comfortable feeling and the form.

Sometimes you need to let the numbers become a result of feeling and form.
