Girl, don't be embarrassed. Own it! (Says the other girl who needs to take her own advice more often. )

This is interesting to me because by necessity or near-necessity I live every day with a constant stream and feedback of numbers. So far today:

2:15 this morning, 72 mg/dl, eat 6 grams of carbs for some buffer.
5:15 AM, 133 mg/dl, 2u of Novolog.
6:35 AM, 159 mg/dl, 5u of Novolog for 30g of carbs
8:30 AM, 165 mg/dl, 7u of Novolog for 32g of carbs
10:30 AM, 60 mg/dl, 12g of carbs

You get the idea, I get kind of obsessed with the numbers at times and at times I want to freak out at all of it.

This morning when I ran I collected a whole bunch more of numbers about how long and my heart rate.

But while running it, I just tried to concentrate on running it with a comfortable feeling and thought a lot about how my form was. The numbers were derived from the comfortable feeling and the form.

Sometimes you need to let the numbers become a result of feeling and form.

And what might one do about them besides pull them off, cuss them out, and throw them in the creek beside the house?
Super pissed me off. Ate 4 good green tomatoes, and maybe the top 20% of the foliage. this means war!!!!!!

I think this is what you meant to say: This is fargin war!

Another good one from this movie, same character: I would like to direct this to the distinguished members of the panel: You lousy corksuckers. You have violated my farging rights. Dis somanumbatching country was founded so that the liberties of common patriotic citizens like me could not be taken away by a bunch of fargin iceholes... like yourselves.

Movie? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

OK, I've only ever heard of picking them off and squashing them, so I had to look it up, but this "article" looks like it has pretty good advice.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...0211825AA3lFxo

Regarding the tomato worm things. From what I understand, insects taste like whatever they eat. Sooo... you could just eat the worms, which would make up for the loss of the tomatoes. Problem solved.
Cus--I didn't know you lived in Pittsburgh! I'm doing the Run Around the Square in Regent Square on August 25. Here's the link. The second mile is uphill as well as part of the third, but it ends on a very nice downhill. Let me know if you're going to race it, or come and support a newbie runner!
