Two days in a row!

Good morning, all!

I'm up to run yesterday's run at 6:00 instead of 7:00 in the hopes that it won't be so bad out there. It rained on and off yesterday, but my house is uncomfortably warm. It's only 74*, so hopefully I can get my big, bad 30 minutes in.

How anyone can mix up Ole' Miss and the Stillers is beyond me

Back when I complete this sucker!

Didn't have to mess with the subway this morning as I traveled down to Philly. Things do appear to be closer back to normal. Decided to sit out last night's recovery run; something in my right thigh wasn't happy and I don't wanna risk injury at this point. I think it was a combo of my weights session on Tues followed by 9 mi on the TM. My body doesn't like too much of the TM. Back outside tonight for a later evening 11 miler w/some strides.

Prae - perhaps it's time for a mantra that you can chant to yourself while running? That helps push me through the tough times ...it can be anything! As for running the 5K distance when you've previously not run that far, the race day atmosphere is a magical one. Much of the adrenaline you've got going from that alone will push you over the finish line - and of course posting back here and letting us all gush over your big accomplishment!! Hang in there, you're doing great!
Wiggly wormie things or not, what a great picture Roo! Fuzzy insects with lots of legs freak me out a bit.

The fast guy/gal crew - I feel like I may need to finally try and hook up with some fast gals to run alongside (or at least try to keep up with). I dig the whole pack mentality and from what y'all have said, it seems to really bring your game up. You think it's too late for my fall marathons to benefit from hooking up with a club?
QOD Typing. My writing is complete shite.
One more thought ...where's Diane???? And how's the tooth from hell?
Maybe you could construct a little sign in tomato-wormese, aiming the enemies to a delicious & tasty tomato over there ------>

away from the plants. Do worms read?
Aw KJ ...you want me to send you another cupcake?? It'll make everything better, I promise!
Let me know if you prefer white or chocolate cake
T-Rev - BRING BACK SAWYER!!!! I need him...
Full body shot this time? Maybe one w/him wearing his reading glasses?

Adding to the list of how you know you're a runner ...whenever your driving in a car, riding a train/bus, etc. you recognize what might be a good place to run.

Had lunch w/a co-worker today away from the office and noticed some great hills to run around behind my office (PHL peeps, it's the area basically running parallel to City Line on the Bala Cynwd side up to the Main Line.)
Tim from CT - I'm tired as hell and I'm not taking it anymore! Yes, I'm tired and extremely stooopid. What up with it? I'm getting tired of complaining about it too.
Got.to.get.out.before.the.storm.

will report back later
Aw sorry bud - I did! Outran the storm (or maybe it blew over?) ...I prefer to think the former. 11 miles in 1:35, yeah baby!!
Helllooooo Colleen! Great to hear from you and big congrats on your race; so friggin' awesome. We need to see more of Lena pleeeeeaaaase.
Floaties all blown up and ready to cruise down the subway tunnels - check!

Howie off next Top Chef - check!

Maria craving bacon wrapped shrimp and cheesy grits - check!
Agreed! He's not going to make it much further, that's for sure. Seriously though, watching last night made me sooooooo hungry for all those good snackie foods. I just know an order of onion rings is in my future (aka lunch tomorrow)
