Up late last night so only had time for 3 miles. I could use more. Wish I had time, it's a lovely morning.

No idea how to dress for work today. It's upper 40s now, but the high is upper 60s. But it won't reach that till later in the afternoon. And we have 2 leaky windows and the ac is still on (and the vent is right over my head.) Guess I'll be an eskimo.

Morning Kath. Hope you have a space heater by your feet, at least.

No fun for me, and no run for me last night. Dizziness and an unhappy tummy meant a rough night. I'm heading to the Dr this morning, so at least he can give me something to help with the veritgo while my body finishes fighting off this head cold. (and maybe loss of vertigo = loss of an unsettled tummy). I am quite annoyed that I haven't run since GR. GRRRRRRRR, indeed!

Good morning!

Grrr Kath, I'm sorry your sister is such a pain now. I really hope she realizes what she is doing before she says or does something that can't be forgiven.

Ailarie - sorry you have been hit so damn hard by the cold... I had no idea you were talking about vertigo when you would say dizzy... I thought it was just the meds!

Wonderful photos Mindi!!!!! Those beautiful confident smiles should be on everyone's face!!!

Well the MRI results are in... the problem is much smaller than it used to be, but now the cartilage has become damaged (it wasn't back in May). So I'll have a cortisone shot this week and see how that helps.

RIL, what great photos. The joy is contagious and its hard not to smile to see so many little girls having a fab time running.

Ailarie, I hope u get some answers. Dh had some sort of inner ear infection that was an extension of a sinus infection and he got vertigo pretty badly, too. It was awful. Feel better!

First day of daycare for AK. I'm super anxious. I know she'll be fine after some adjusting but we've put the poor kid through quite a bit these past few weeks.

Good morning eskimo kath.

Not a whole lot of fun today. I'm just browsing my schedule and i'm triple booked in 4 slots. That always makes for a fun day good days to you all!

morning

So I picked up pups at the vet yesterday and went over for a quick run and then bootcamp. Pup seemed hyper so I took her with on said run. That was not a good idea. She pulled for the first mile and then I had to drag her. I felt horrible because at one point I had stopped to let her sniff and I wasn't paying attention and I turned around and she was all splayed out. I don't know if she tripped or just fell down :( poor old gal.

Costumes:

I will NOT be a zombie...no no no no no no

I am heading over to Target at lunch and savers tonight. I already have a white rabbit costume for the pup so maybe I'll pick up an Alice one.

morning.

Fantabulous photos RIL! What a wonderful way to start my day!

Brandy - I really like the Alice idea.

Your story about the pup reminded me that a few weeks ago, I took Daisy for a walk and we went a little farther than usual. She laid down and flatly refused to move for the last 3/4 mile. I had to carry her home. Carry her! I managed to carry her for a few houses, and then had to put her down. We did that all the way home. Cars going by were honking - people were smiling and I'm like uh...a little help here? I honestly thought she was done for. But after about an hour, she perked back up. Goofy mutt. Now DH and I laugh about her 30 seconds of exercise limit.

Ailarie - good call on teh Dr.

So glad to have Missy back!

T - will the cortisone help the healing or just with pain relief? My dad just had a cortisone shot in his hip (needs a hip replacement this winter) and he said it's the best he's felt in months.

Good morning, ladies. You gals are pretty active this morning, and the guys are sleeping in again, I guess...

Greats pics yesterday, RIL!

Feel better, Ailarie. Feel warmer, Kath. Feel less blergy, Prae. And continued healing vibes to phdatc...

I ran 3 easy miles last night. Probably something similar today. I may even book a trip to Arizona today for state #21...

T, sort of mixed results? Is it better/worse than you were hoping for?

I am not really happy about the loss of cartilage, but the reduction in size of the edema is good!

The shot will hopefully help with both. Calm the inflammation so the healing can progress... and make it stop aching so much. Cortisone is the same family of drugs as Prednisone that Duckie and Lori are currently taking orally.

Morning all! And thanks! I am still totally floating on my high from last night's race. OH - and I got an iPhone 4S yesterday. Sweet new little toy.

Wip - yes, she is so adorable and just a live wire of positive energy too. Maybe next season you can join us again!

Missy - good luck to AK this morning - first day of daycare is hard.

Brandy - haha - I read your zombie costume issue with a little Amy Winehouse in mind (they tried to make me be a zombie, I said no no no).

Tonya - well, not the greatest news, but it could have been a lot worse. Do they think the cortisone shot will do the trick or will you still need to do follow-up MRIs. More importantly, when can you run again?

Kath - sorry about your sister.

Ailaire - so sorry you are still so sick. I still have a gunky head and tummy, but no dizziness. I hope you get better soon.

(((((Prae)))))

Oh - my kiddos ROCK!

They always run the race with us and they were both blazing fast. James finished in 21:xx and Jake finished in 23:xx. It is exactly 3 miles, so those little dudes were HAULING. Ha, Jake was sore this morning too. Rockstars.

If you can't find an Alice costume, all you need is a light blue dress with a fuller skirt, a bib apron, and long blonde wig with a head band. If you can't find the costume, you should be able to find those things at Savers. Or you could go as a magician.

I think I'm going to make a Pan Am era stewardess costume for the party I'm going to on Sat night. My heart's not in it this year, but I already asked a friend to go with me and I can't let her down.

in other news, I am very pleased with my shoe storage solution!

I suspect once I go to the doc for my back, cortizone will be in my near future. One thing about getting the shot (I had one once before for my hip)...my eczema goes away.

Morning all!

Yesterday I walk/ran 12 minutes during PT, then put in 40 min on the stationary bike at the gym. And, had a very necessary date with the recliner and ice. I was worried last night that it was a set back, but I seem to feel recovered this morning. I'll do another run/walk session tomorrow and see how it goes.

State 21 already, boB? Wow. But, did you check with Prae as to how AZ fits on the map? I don't want a map mishap to increase her blerginess. Whatever blerginess is?

Uh oh, Ailerie, feel better! (I'm debating whether this is funny or mean. I hope it's funny. Someone tell me if it's not so I can delete!)

Hope the sisterleenie issue is resolved soon, Kath. Oh, and can't wait to see the Santa hats!

We are starting to debate what kind of dog we will get next. We probably won't get the dog until this time next year, so it's a bit premature. I might have to buy one of those robot vacuums for under the kitchen table in the mean time. I had no idea what slobs we were until there wasn't a dog to eat up the evidence!

Ok, back to work for this gal!

Happy Tewsday everyone!

Good since I'm on my 2nd cup already this morning.

I ran last night and my legs felt a bit sluggish...but so goes the marathon taper. I thought to myself, you know you've been running big miles when your first taper week = 60 miles. Starting to get excited about NYCM...but not looking at the long range weather forecast yet.
