W, as in Wyoming, as in Wow! Won-hundwed miles in the Tetons!

This round started off with big scoring by a lot of teams over a sunny weekend. And it started with Team W in the lead and a furious group chasing, with RocketPack posting massive multisport points, big contributions from the whole squad, and merigayle staking The Dubs to a nice gap with a mighty feat of ultrarunning. It's wrapping up like this: big scoring by a lot of teams over a sunny weekend, Team W crossing the line first with a furious chase behind, RocketPack posting massive multisport points, big contributions from the whole squad, and merigayle locking down the win with a mighty, mighty, mighty feat of ultrarunning.

If there's a belt buckle for VRAA badassery, Team W gets it. 8,400 points from 10 team members in 31 days. All members contributed significantly, and 8(!) popped well into SuperBadAss territory with individual totals above 700 points.

Teh Anti-Kewt

Team Y did some mighty work as well. It'll cross the line at any time now; it's less than 100 points away. It put up nearly 1,000 points over the weekend, and Team W's lead was in low double-digits until merigayle posted her 405. The Y team would have won the last round of the VRAA with ease.

When all is said and done (i.e., when Flounder's points for the weekend are tallied), Team Z will probably lock up 3rd place. Unless Flounder put up 1,000 points over the weekend to move the Zs ahead of Team Y. Which could have happened.

Nice work, everybody.

8,430--Team W
