<p>What's everyone training for?  I had a bit of a setback yesterday when I went to register for the HM I've been half planning to do... only to learn that it's sold out.  My backup race is now out of the picture due to a family obligation that I also learned about yesterday.  (Yesterday was not a good day for motivation, was it?)  So now I'm a Rebel Without A Race.  Humph.</p>

<p><span style="color:#ff8c00;">Theia is the Greek word for goddess.  Some of my friends call me Gigi or GG (for Greek Goddess), so I almost chose that but decided Theia was more obscure and therefore more interesting.  It's pronounced theh-AH, which is probably not how you pronounced it in your head.  Am I right? </span></p>

<p>4. I LOVE the stepmill.  Is that the stair machine you did?  The one that looks like a huge staircase?  Love, love, lovesomuch.</p>

<p>6. I used to love 10Ks the most, but now I'd have to say sprint triathlons.  So much fun.</p>

<p>The first part of your answer sounds dirty (woo hoo!).  Believe it or not, I have worked out 3x in one day, but I can't remember if all three were runs.  I know at least two of them were.  Hmmm.  OK, I'll give this a shot too!  I can't promise they'll all be long runs.  Or pretty!  <span id="user_yui_3_3_0_8_130176186394142"><img alt="biggrin.gif" id="user_yui_3_3_0_8_130176186394141" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="width:16px;height:16px;"></span></p>

<p>Well, yesterday turned into a rest day due to too many lunges on Monday.  Seriously, it felt as though someone was driving metal stakes directly into my glutes all day yesterday.  Oof.  I'll get some points tonight. </p>
<p>I love Chick-Fil-A as a team name for an all-girl team.  Too cute! </p>

<p>I'm plugging along over here.  Lost a pound last week, so I got that going for me...  (which is nice). </p>

<p>I need help.  I managed to injure myself Monday night at the gym and have been out of commission for two days now.  I'll do my best to get some miles in tomorrow, but the way I feel right now...  well, it's doubtful.</p>

<p>I thought it would be a good idea to do chin-ups on the assisted dip/pullup machine.  Apparently, I way overestimated my ability and used too much weight.  I did three sets (go me!  10, 8, and 8 reps), but they were really hard.  Well, I think I strained the ligament inside my left elbow.  I can't straighten my arm at all.  Basically, it looks like I'm wearing an invisible sling on my arm; that's how bent and tight it is.   Additionally, and more importantly for working out, my lats are on FIRE.  Like, breathing hurts.  Getting dressed hurts.  Leaning back in a chair hurts.  Reaching for anything hurts.  You get the idea. </p>

<p>I just don't know if the bouncing of running will be doable for a few more days.   Swimming is clearly out of the picture, and biking involves reaching forward for the handlebars and gears so I'm afraid of that as well.  Can't do yoga, can't lift... </p>

<p>So I may need you, dear teammates, to pick up some of the slack for me this week.  Maybe an extra mile or two each? </p>

<p>You guys and gals are the absolute sweetest.  My pain is definitely muscular, but thanks so much for being concerned for me!  Today my right arm can straighten all the way (yesterday it was at about 80%), so that's progress.  My left arm is now at about 75% straight, rather than bent at a 90 degree angle.  My back pain is still there, ooo boy is it there, but it's approaching the tolerable level rather than the 10 out of 10 pain threshold level from Tuesday night and all of yesterday.  I'd say the pain today is about an 8 or 8.5.</p>

<p>I may try to run.  I NEED to do something.  I just feel like such a dufus.</p>
