HI!!!!!!

Roots will be back with some pictures when he returns from his trip. We all had a great time yesterday. Roots was blistering fast, finishing 4th overall i think. SisterGoldenHair, in her VERY FIRST ultra finished first female in 6:05. I finished in 6:09, third female, and a HUGE 39 minute 50K PR!!! Divaleh, in her very first ultra ran the race with me and finished seconds behind me wheeeeeeee. DeTurtle woke up sick with a fever but somehow got out there and did about 18 miles. My husband ran his very first running race, ever and finished strong just over 7 hours!!!!!

Can't wait to read the newbie ultrarunner race reports!

Umm... after a few beers I was feeling kindof good...but I think I may pay for all the fun today, I have no voice and a cough. My brother and I thought that maybe the beer would kill the germs...maybe not

Thanks All; great effort and great fun. And a special thanks for taking care of the course. I was out early this morning and couldn't find a hint of anything. While Ranger Rick definitely suspects something went down, there's surely no way to prove it. Another TSI success story, though sooner or later they're bound to catch us. I had the most AMAZING time! Really. I can't believe I ever wavered in my decision to drive down to DE to run this - best choice ever. It was truly the greatest way to start 2008. Everyone was so nice, nobody beat me up or pants'd me!

DEturtle played tour guide, and was even generous with her m&m's (good woman!)....SisterGoldenHair, Roots and I got to see more of Dover than we'd ever have imagined (and every road seemed to lead back to our hotel)...

Merigayle was gracious enough to allow me to shadow her the entire time, and it was the best ultra coaching a newbie could ask for.

And Durt didn't laugh (much) at me when I shook my ass. Good man.

Of course, now I'm officially even crazier than I was before, and I'm sure my boyfriend will leave me soon, taking both cats and the house.

Ah well, as long as he leaves me my Garmin and a pair of sneakers.

Nice job by all -- especially first timers SGH, divaleh, and Turnin'Wrenches!

What a great time, lovely people, and a fun locale for a long run.

With help from Asst. RD Debbie, I was able to capture some more photos. Check the link:

http://picasaweb.google.com/rootsrun...ug50kmJan52008
