Hey guys-This is your chance to say "hi" and introduce yourselves. I'm Kruss, this is my fourth round of VRAA, two time champ looking to make that three. I had the most awesome team last round. For those who don't know the story-about three days into the VRAA round one of our teammates, SherpaJ, died unexpectantly. We all decided very quickly that we were going to win that round in memory of him-and we did. We won only because every single team of our team participated and that put us over the edge, even down one player. I'm psyched to see batmomm on this team since we never met at Richmond but will hopefully meet next weekend at Disney. I'm only doing the HM but still pretty many points for Team M. Oh and the boring stuff-Self-employed CPA/Financial consultant and mommy to three great kids (8,6 and 4) Go Team M
Hi Team M! I'm a recent defector from CR. I usually run ultramarathons, and January is when I always start training seriously for the year ahead. This spring, I'm focusing on some shorter distances, like the Around the Bay 30km in Hamilton, Ontario in March. Having said that, the siren's call of the 100 mile distance will probably force me to run at least one ultramarathon this year. But for the duration of this virtual race, my mileage should be pretty modest. Go team!

Theia here, reporting for duty!

This is my first VRAA, but I've heard great things. How lucky to be paired with a two-time champ!

Do we have a team name? Marvelous? Magnificent? Magnanimous? Merde? haha

Married, no kids unless you count the four-legged variety (which I do, actually). Work full-time for a large non-profit. Work part-time as a fitness instructor at two gyms.

Hi everyone,

Chris here, another CR defect. I'm an ultrarunner from Boulder, Colorado. Spend most of my "fun" time trail running, mountaineering, mountain biking, skiing, climbing, etc. I've got a lovely wife, 2 year old son, and 7 year-old Golden Retriever.

January is the time I normally ramp up my mileage for the year and then hope I don't get injured.

Currently I'm registered for two 50 mile races (March and June) and the Leadville 100 in August, so I've got my work cut out. Looking forward to the VRAA!

OK, My name's Mary, formerly MaryK from the CH. I really let my VRAA team down last time as life got in the way...won't happen this time. Trying to get ready to run the half at Austin. I'm married, two kids, work part-time from home.

Hi Team M!

I'm also a fairly recent CR migrant (registered about a year ago, but didn't start posting here til Aug/Sept or so). I was here in time to do the last round of VRAA and had a great time. It was a superb motivational tool for me. I forgot what my level is called now - but it's the level where you average out about 15-30 mpw. I am typically right around 20-25, so not a huge contributor, but will stick to my commitment. I start marathon training the end of this month, for what will be my first marathon in May.

on a personal note, I work full time in the criminal defense field, have an 8 yr old son, a husband and two daughters of the four-legged variety. Even with only one child, family life and family priorities get busy at times, so I am not able to devote as much time as I wish I could to running, but I'm happy with what I can do.

Nice to be on this team and look forward to getting to know you all!

I'm sure you can guess my name.

This will hopefully keep me continuing my best training ever...or at least the most miles. I'm a little high school senior getting ready for track and trying to prepare myself for the miles I'll need to run in college. I'm hoping to average 45-50 miles for the next few weeks and put in some decent cross training.

On the list of players thread they mentioned colorcoding our signatures. Let's get our hands on a good one now. Any ideas for a universal Team M color coding we can use?....I vote for some shade of blue or orange.

Oh, no. Blue and Orange? Those are SU colors - gag me. But, to be honest, I really don't care - just had to bash SU.

Are you a philly girl? I used to live there but currently am about 1 hour north of there in Central NJ. We are a huge fan of orange in this house-so that works for me (both my son's favorite colors and 1/2 the Miami Dolphin colors ) We will keep the discussion of name and colors open until tomorrow and then I'll go through the whole thread and see what it looks like the majority wants.
Batmomm-PM me your schedule for Disney and I'll do the same. I know we will not be in synch for Sat/Sun since we are running opposite days but I'd like to do a meet up at some point-hopefully you are staying long enough.
