I'm ready, willing, and more than able to do some azz kicking, Boss. Just say the woid.

Hey, 'e' ... good on ya with the stretching and crunches. How 'bout some planks now? I have wayz ....

Oh, and about the stretching. We Oldsters pay attention to these things as bits tend to break down over time. And we've had a recent discussion in our Masters Club about warmups/cooldowns (i.e. DO NOT stretch before running or, at the very least, until muscles are well warmed up. So don't discount their importance, as has already been said.

I did a lengthy stretching session after my strength w/o yesterday, and I really noticed the difference today.

So, um, I had to look up "planks" on the internet. And I gave them a try today. WOWSER! Those kicked my azz - er - my abs! Thanks for the suggestion.

As to the stretching - it is truly amazing how stretching (and the roller stick) can make such a difference! I am going on day 15 of no running breaks (first time ever), and while I thought I might take today off or do just a little run, I ended up have a great 7 miles.

Happy running everyone!
Hey, 'e'. Streaks are nice and VRAA really drives you to pick up the points, but rest days from running can keep you healthy over the long haul. And now you have planks to do.

Captain, I see I got a ruling from Roots about rowing. Not a favourable one. I thought this ...

... meant I could score rowing in miles as it's easily converted from metres to miles. Apparently not.

So the rowing score I submitted for rowing on Sunday (16 points) should be 10 points, the total being 53.5 instead of 59.5. Durn. So I guess I'll just taker 'er easy next time and score the same number of points.

(And to think I rowed off a hunk of skin on my tailbone for the team. Watch the bath after ... ow, ow, ow.)
