Curious as to who is using the new points tool?
click below:
http://vraa.mootness.net/

Anyone have any questions on it?

And how up to date you are? Do you have runs that are not logged?
APPR chuck, is the plan to keep this tool up to date? I am confused on
the timing and calculation of the points....

If we all got current and always posted to the tool before the thread it would give us a better idea on the progress we are making.

pig

I use the tool almost daily and and am
current thru January 17th as of this post.

Unfortunately the cut and post of daily activity is not very clean.
See below.
If I am over analyzing this....Just tell me. I have this competitive problem that I sometimes have to work on. Great motivator though.

I tend to update maybe every day but at least every other day. It takes some time. I plug in the garmin>analyze that>plug in the ipod> see how those challenges are going> put info in log book>analyze that>post in the thread>read all those>then input in the system>and check out the team.
I am ultracompetitive as well SeaPig, its only a flaw if it gets you injured other than that let it roll. But seeing the action on the team does motivate me to get out the door. Ive gotta ride today, then the gym. I am going to a Jorma (bluegrass) show tonite and I plan on hurtin tommorow, so I am bumping rest day to tomm.

RACK EM UP TEAM L
good to see you back calliope(take it easy,)
"e" you cant be upset by 7-8 miles. At least you got out the door at 4:30 more than most people would do.
Becca-enjoy the trip Is it Carribean? or Mediterranean? don't exercise too much there is time for that later.

Not sure I've taken a rest day since Day 1. Not sure I will today either even though the plan sez so. Won't be much, sorry to say.

I've been keeping my totals entered at Scoring Central (haven't actually "scored" there yet, though -- whazzup with that? )

Have a good time at Jorma, VS. Try not to overanalyze there, SeaPig; it takes time away from racking up more points. Enjoy the cruise, Becca. "e" you rawk!

Go Team L!

eta: "e", here's something to spice up the plankage: Start with a front plank (how 'bout 30 seconds to start?), move right into a side plank (same amount of time), move directly into another front plank, then finish off with the opposite side side plank. Keep increasing the time as it becomes easier. You can do them while proofreading that paper.

Hey rugby,
Put your points in the daily thread for whichever day it was. Post in each of the daily threads then I think we are adding our own points into the system. Look in the commishs' report to find the link and registration rules. Nice run today what kind of dog do you have?

Hey plank fans I've got a truly sadistic one if you fancy: Get a 5-10lb plate or DB hold it in RT hand while up in plank on Left elbow. Just hold it on your RT hip for the first 30 sec>then do 10 reps of twisting the weight UNDER your rib cage(between the floor and your ribs) and try to reach as far towards your backside as possible on your way out of the move pivot your elbow so that your elbow points down into your rt side and the weight is up over your hip. Picture doing a rotator cuff exercise. It will destroy your core and shoulder all at once. Do the other side and repeat if necessary.

Great job all.

I have been updating my points every evening. I can't access that web page from work so it has to wait. I am up to date through today. My rest days are on Sundays. I am doing very low mileage running right now. I think I am less that 25 miles a week. However, I am making it up with the cycling and swimming. Starting to train for my first TRI in a few months so we will see how it goes.

Great job all. Lets keep plugging away. We can't finish in last.

APPR chuck - Does Rugby get to back date his points from Day 1 even though he didn't join us till this week? We need all the points we can get.

Hi, Team L, I, too, am using the points tool each time I rack some up. I like seeing where we are in relation to the other teams as well as where we are in relation to each other!

Heading out for 2 or 3 miles now...peace. And GO TEAM L!
None of my points were input since 1/12. I thought you were still inputting Chuck? I guess we all have to input our own. No points are showing yet for rugby.

I just updated myself. Chuck do you need an assistant captain to help input folks points? Let me know.

Aha! With Ilene's points, we should vault up several places ... maybe to the TOP!!!

What are we going to do while you're mending?

vs, not so sure I want to "destroy" any of my old creaky bits, but I'll give that a try next time at the gym. I have tried the kind of roll under sort, not with weights though. Also do the front planks with one foot on a small medicine ball. Have you tried side planks straight-arm on top of a medicine ball? Cirque de Soleil planks.

Hey Sans
the straight armed planks wreak havoc on my wrists so i stay on my elbows. I do put my feet on the ball and sometimes my elbow on that BOSU ball. Nice work everyone on the pts I have some I am going to log right now. 13 miles on the bike and an hour at the gym yesterday,
Then about a fifth of Makers last night during the show, that could be considered a workout?
