Good morning and happy Saturday!<br>
It's pouring rain here in NY. I did 12 minutes of elliptical and 1 hour of yoga today, plus I added in the 5 points for our "alternative workout bonus". According to Hairy, we should simply note it as a race bonus. A little strange, but I'll take those extra 5 points!<br><br>

Nice work everyone. 15.5 miles running today. Wanted 20-miles but just wasn't feeling it. Trail running tomorrow!

Sorry ive been a slacker the first two days, I was dealing with the burial of my grandfather today. Ill get out and get some points tomorrow!

The VRAA already motivated me to do an hour of pilates on a rest day. Since I teach it 4x/week I don't regularly practice on my own (although I should).<br><br>
I am in the process of moving and scheming to see if that would count for an alternate activity! If shoveling snow could, couldn't hauling boxes?<br><br>

i would count it as one. i mean it is heavy lifting and if your on the second or third floor one hell of a workout.

ok question here......For alt workouts, can you get the 5 point bonus on both days this weekend, Sat & Sunday? Or is a one-time thing for the weekend. I need an official ruling.<br><br>

The way i understood it was it was you only get it one time for the whole weekend. As long as you did some sort of alt workout during the whole weekend you got the bonus points.<br><br><br>

Took an off day yesterday to attend the Big 12 wrestling tournament, but I'm back today. 1 mile warm up run and a good lifting session.

Hey all...I checked everyones scores last night and added the bonus points for alternative workout (some of you didnt claim them). Great job so far team!

pace2race - Did something happen with your totals? You had a huge lead over everyone, but then you seemed to go backwards with your points.

I'm baaaack! Ok, so I just logged my points for the past 4 days in the database, and I have a bit of a moral dilemma- it adds up to a whole bunch: 240pts over 4 days. I asked Billy about XC skiing and Tele skiing in the General discussion thread, and he said to log them as General Cardio, which it certainly felt like as I was hauling my kiester up the snow covered hills and then telemarking back down again. However that's the equivalent of 60 miles running, and I'm not sure I can in good conscience claim the equivalent of 60 miles running. I had much more fun than that! <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
Basically I spent two days skiing up and down this mountain, a day getting there and a day skiing out (in & out w/50lb pack):<br><br><img alt="" src="http://users.frii.com/mrobbins/Hikes/GoldHill08.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
