Wow-lots of new people-cool I'm kruss and I'm so psyched to be starting a new round. I definately need motivation-especially with all the fall activities pulling me away from running as much as I had hoped. I'm a 30 something (yeah-I can still say that ) mom of three and a CPA doing P/T financial consulting. Running wise-I'm still not sure what I'm doing for the rest of the fall-thinking of Richmond or Philly in Nov but haven't made the decision yet. HH, roots-we are together again. We need redemption after the last round! Go Team H!

roots here, reporting for duty.

Yea, kruss and HH. I'm psyched for our team.

I can't believe this is already the 5th round of the VRAA. Its gotten better each time. I like how it motivates me to ride my bike, and sneak in a few minutes of core, more often. Unfortunately, fall is here and I doubt I get to cycle outside as much.

I'm not the badass I was over the summer. After this weekend, I don't have a goal race. Perhaps I'll find another fall race.

I don't have much of a week planned, but come Sunday I'll post at least 26.2 miles (105 pts) and a race bonus!

Afterwards, I'll buy the first round for my team, Team H!

This is my 1st VRAA. I haven't been running as consistently as I like over the past nine months. I'm hoping that this will help to keep me on track, I'm at 20+ miles/wk now. I'll be doing VT in May, no races planned before that (yet)! For now I'm just looking to get my mileage back up. Roots, I like dark beers!

Hello Team H! I am new to the VRAA and very excited to start. I am just back to running after developing a stress fracture after my May HM. I am hoping for 15-25 miles a week while I base build before starting M training in Jan. I cycle once a week - but that will probably end soon as the cooler weather comes to the NE.

Oh - and I am a mom of 3, working part-time as a bookkeeper, and driving a team bus for three busy hockey kids.

A quick note on reporting for the newbies, we'll report at the end of the race, which is December 1st. So make sure you all keep an accurate log of your mileage.

December 1st, we'll all post our points, good luck guys!!

Hi All,
VRAA newbie here as well. I'm in Lebanon, MO which means that most races I'll train for are one you guys have probably never heard of. I expect to be running 18-25 mpw in the coming weeks and I have a 10K on 10/13 (St. John's Sunshine Run in Springfield MO) and another on 11/3 (Bass Pro Fall Festival 10K, also in Springfield). I'm also training for a half starting this week, hopefully for the end of December. I weight train 3-4 times/wk and have a 45 minute spin class so I hope to be racking up some points. Somewhere in there I may have a 5K race as well.

Besides that--34 y.o. mom of two, including one 10 y.o. red-headed step child who thinks she's about 18 and one sweet 4 year old boy. I work as an industrial engineer full time at a local manufacturing facility. Exercise is usually at lunch for me with the occasional evening run and long runs on weekends.

Good luck to all and go team H!!

Hi folks - this is my second go-around to VRAA myself.

I've kinda' taken a break from training the past couple weeks after my first triathlon, but now I'm starting back up again. I got the HM in Philly in Nov., but that won't be a goal race - it's going to be training mileage as part of the greater goal of a marathon in March. Thus, the point totals should grow throughout the period as the month progresses.

Looking forward to teaming up with you all, and gooooo Team H!

I'm thinking of running Richmond! Maybe I'll see you there

Antagonist is a trouble maker - you post points daily. He knows this is the only way his team will win!
