We've got ourselves a rocking crew this round! I'll be your captain and am here to assist in any way needed - motivation, Q&A, entry of our daily scores, etc etc. I've played in 3 (or 4 ...I forget) previous rounds of the VRAA and have been captain several times. Come on in, introduce yourself and tell us a little about you.

I'm getting back into the game after dealing with a tempermental hamstring. Training for the St. Louis HM and Madision marathon as well as playing volleyball and doing a lot of crosstraining.

Here's who we've got this round:
Couple more points:

We need to come up with a team name, it doesn't have to start with the letter F but it should TOTALLY ROCK!

We'll be using the scoring database again (introduced last round) so please post your daily activity points in the dated threads and be sure to check out Billy's sticky posts at the top of the VRAA forum for point, route and other information regarding this round.

Woo hoo, I'm on Maria's team!! Best. Captain. Ever.

I can't wait for this round -- less work and more play (and points!) Training for Boston in April and an ultra in June, so I plan to bring it in VRAA 7.

VRAA really helps me out with the core and weights. No matter where we place as a team, I've always had fun playing. Let's do this!

Hey everybody! I'm Billy. I'm 37, Cancer is my sunsign, and I enjoy long walks on the beach. Not really. The sand gets in my shoes. I enjoy watching my family (wife and 2 kids) play on the beach while I relax on a beach towel. How about that?

I think I can say I'm getting over an injury. My knee still bothers me a little but it is not stopping me from running. My mileage is in the low 20s now and I'm helping my boy to get ready for a 5K at then end of April. I'm also doing some swimming though right now it's more like floating.

It's going to be a really fun round!

Hi all,

This should be good. I haven't done this before but I already feel connected to the team member who've posted. Maria, I play volleyball regularly. Roots, I'm headed to Baaston this year too. Gordon, let's just say we have been in the same running club for a while.

I'll try to pull my weight, but most of it will be running. We do get points for volleyball, though, right?

Howdy! I'm new to the forum and the VRAA of course but I'm very excited about it all. I ran my first half marathon this year and I'm addicted to running now. I plan to run a 25K (Hog's Hunt) on April 5th and my first marathon later this year. I can't wait for Friday.

Also it would be very nice to crush team G since my wife is on that one.

Oh yeah, more volleyball stars - welcome Fortunate One!! V-ball does count as an alternative workout (12 pts. max per day), we all know it's a heart pounding activity but last round it was decided that team sports should all be categorized as alt. workouts so as not to stray too far away from the running portion of the VRAA. Cool? Cool!

Great to see everyone filing in...

Hi kids!!

I'm Biah, 28, Chicago. Nerdy biochemist in Chicago by day... nerdy biochemist at night, too.... I'm mainly into triathlons and 1/2 marathons and have done some good speedwork this winter but need to rebuild a better base before racing season begins. So this is just what I need to keep me going every day...Running, swimming, lifting and some biking will be my main contributions. But I was wondering, do relations count? I was thinking that could fall under Pilates or something...

Go Team F!!!

Uh Biah...what are these "relations" you speak of? Do they expend energy?

Hi everyone!

This will be my first time playing VRAA and I can't wait! I'm fairly new to the forum but have been running for about 7 years. I'm 46 and have completed 8 marathons including 2 Boston. I'm currently training for my 3rd and BEST Boston. I also do core and push-ups 4 times a week and lift light weights 2-3 times a week. I hope to help Team F win!!!!!

Hi, I'm the newbie BAinTraining. (Does that make me BAIT?) Started running two years ago today and I'm celebrating by . . . . . NOT RUNNING!! Have been laid up with a sinus infection and have only managed 4 lousy miles this week! And they really were quite pitiful.

Am determined to be well enough to walk, do weights, and/or pilates by Friday, though, and to get back to running as soon as the crud allows.
