Hey everyone! Now that we have a team name, I figured we'd better have a weekly thread. That sign-in thread is getting a bit long.

We're off to a great start and hanging at about the middle of the pack as of this morning.

The reporting seems to be going well Just remember to report in the daily thread as well even if you've put your points in the database site. If doing both is more than you want to spend time on, just make sure the one you do is report in the daily thread. Your captains will make certain it gets put in the database if you don't have time.

I'm outing myself as the slacker of the team but I am on track given the level of badassery for which I signed up (Badass). I am going to try to pick it up a bit though for the rest of this week. I'd like to be on the high end of my level or maybe push myself to the next level if I can.

Thanks for all your hard work!

I think we're catching up! Unofficial standings after I put my points in this morning have us in third. Granted, that doesn't take in account when different people input their points, but we are definitely moving up!

All that we can ask, imho, is that people try to do what they signed up for. The teams are roughly even in the number of megas, supers, badasses, and b-in-training.
We do that, and we can win this thing.

G'morning all! Thanks for starting up the new thread.

Reported my 6 miles and 30 min alt workout real late last night. We seem to be steady production from all participants, which is exactly how my VRAA team from two editions ago managed to get it done. Keep up the good work everyone!

Got some swimming and maybe a mile or two of walking on the docket today. Also gotta' get my stretching in - I figured out I just can't go without that these days.

Am I the only one who thinks choovie's rappelling photo was photoshopped? How can she look that relaxed going over the edge?

No running for me today. Without the VRAA, I probably would have done nothing. Instead I did 60 minutes of weights. I Team Enterprise!

Hi guys,
I will get my chops out for a nice walk at lunchtime, being this recovery day and all.
I remember reading some posts that were discussing whether or not we could earn points with blood donation. I don't remember the conclusion, but I am signed up for Friday to give a pint... So, what gives?
Keep up the good work, everyone!
j

PS.: I am trying to picture Antag in a miniskirt and pom-poms, but I am drawing blank...you need to post a pic, Taggie!

I'm getting things done early today! At least for me. Sounds like we are all putting in a good effort. I even remembered that I'm walking around town here to get to restaurants and such so I got that included in my report. The full service gym right across from the hotel at hotel expense really helps keep me in focus.

Joe, your spotlight is great!

Antag - miniskirt and pom-poms! Wow, that will really antagonize the crowd!

No, I can picture Choovie as cool calm and relaxed as she backs over the edge - she's not the one looking down! The cameraman is probably shaking in his boots as he leans over to take the photo!

Hey Team E. First, I want to say this is a lot of fun. I find myself running a bit extra to get some extra points and doing much more yoga and stretching. This is all good.

4.5mi run today + .25mi wu/cd walk + 15min stretching for 22pts.

I am a bit worried about some soreness in might right knee. I hope to stay on track though with plenty of ice and keep my runs at an easy pace and an extra rest day this weekend. Of course, next week is the "hard" week in my cycle!

Keep it up. Warp speed ahead (though there aren't extra points for speed -- thank gawd).

Jura, I don't remember what the conclusion was either! I'll find out.

Don't forget to post in the daily reporting thread, I see you put your points in on the website, and mmoonptdeux, the same for you We don't want anyone to think we're trying to put one over on them...

A pic of 'tag in a miniskirt, holding pom-poms would be nice incentive for the team, right? You'd do it if you really care, Antag...

Dougie, don't mess up your knee! Be careful.

Hey y'all... yesterday was a rough day. Barely got in my strength training before a horrible headache took me out the rest of the day. This is what I meant by it's so off one day to the next with the preg... but I'm going to try to get a few extra points today.

Gotta say, it looks like everyone is putting in a lot for the team--- the whole team is there scoring some points, most days.
Let's try to get a few extra points this week in honor of BikeGirl who is sidelined... she'll be finding out the gender possibly, and more information on what's going on today, wish her luck-- I know she wishes she was scoring some, so let's score some for her!

Jura-- I believe the idea was nixed.. though I thought at least a token amount of points should count

Backing over is definitely much easier than peering over the edge!

Sometimes life gets in the way, QN. I didn't get as much done as I wanted yesterday either. Too tired after I got home, I went to sleep right after dinner.

Bikebaby is going to be fine! I'll try to get some more things in today, as well as my run this afternoon.

I thought that was the case about blood, but I asked Billy to make sure.

Hiiiiii Choovie!

I've got 3.5mi planned for today. My kids have been sick all week and now it's hit me so we'll see how it goes. You never know until you get out there and try it when you catch a cold. More important is my long run this weekend -- I don't want to mess with that.

Don't forget the cycling bonus starts tomorrow. If my bike trainer isn't here I'll make sure I at least get a lap around the neighborhoods this weekend no matter how cold it is. I can't believe the forecast is for snow! Ick.

You pregnant and sidelined ladies take care of yourselves.

Hey everyone!

I"m hoping to sneak in like 5 minutes of stretching a day after the ultrasound until I get clearance from the dr. If dh catches me on the exercise ball or near the bike he freaks out!

You all are doing awesome. I'd bust out my pom poms for ya but i don't want to scare anyone with this belly!

Too bad. I agree, there should be a bonus. Whole blood donation will definitely slow a person down for a couple of days, so it interferes with other exercise. Oh, well, still gonna go, and go slow and steady over the weekend. I'll make sure I get some bike points in, too.
Sorry for not posting yesterday on the daily, it was late at night when I finally sat down to the 'puter; I just put my point in to the Scoring Central and crawled into bed. I posted the points today (in yesterday's thread).
Good news about Bikebaby! It's cute about BikeHubby being so protective. He's a good husband and daddy. Take care all pregnant and sickly team mates, listen to your bod' and don't push harder then you should.
Ok, got in my 3.5mi run for 14pts. It felt better than I thought it would except for bad tummy troubles. I'm feeling kinda flu-ish. I felt better when I was running than when I stopped.

I am still going to see if I can get in some alt. workout points before bed with some yoga though.

Good news: my bike trainer came today! I can give my knee a rest from running but still keep up on the cardio and the points. I signed up Super Badass knowing I was on the cusp of BA and Super BA but I want to be a MOP Super Badass. So far, so good.

Stay healthy fellow trekkers.

Everyone is out there putting in the effort. Every littl bit helps but don't get to the point where you might take yourself completly out of the picture!

I finally managed to get up this morning when the alarm went off and had a chance for an early morning run! It was great with temps in the mid forty's. Once again though, running in new territory, I found a nice hilly course to be sure that it was not an easy 6 miles!

Awesome workout today... Can I talk about it here please? I am so happy I had to talk about it somewhere...

Did 25 miles bicycle @ 16 mph avg, followed by 1.6 mile run at 6 mph...
weather was 72F, sunny... Just perfect. RPE stayed low, heart rate stayed in a reasonable range.... and had the high feeling afterwards where I was just floating and everything felt right in the world.
I used to have this kind of feeling after working out all the time, and this kind of workout often enough, but this is one of the best ones I've had since I've been pregnant... Wasn't as slow as I've been at the same RPE. I downed gels early and often trying to do what the doc said and keep fueled, and avoid what happened yesterday.
Ah, this is the kind of workout that reminds me why I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE exercising so much.
