If you could, just introduce yourself a little in this thread. Get to know each other a little bit. Also, if you have team name suggestions, please give them! Also, seems like this go around we're trying to get a picture of what motivates. I tend to be more laid back and might address the group but not single out-- if something else works better for you, tell us so everyone gets full motivation from this round! Oh and one more thing -- if you do nothing for the day, will you be posting you did nothing or leaving it blank? Either way is fine, but if I know you normally post, I'll know if you just forget to check in one day.

I'm QuixoticNotions, aka Heather. I'm signed up as a Badass this go-around. Should be on the high-end of Badass near SB territory. Been playing VRAA since the KR VRAA induction. In the past (rounds before the last one), I have done more-- but I am 19 weeks pregnant and so will be taking it a little easy.
I live in Alpharetta, GA and I run, bicycle, and strength train -- and will be starting swim lessons for this VRAA round! I do log onto the site everyday, so if you have any questions or need anything, send me a PM or post and I'll get back to you.

Let's win this thing!!!

Cool! I'm on the same Team as Choovie, Jura, Holly, Millbot, Joplus ... a veritable plethora of outstanding Master's runners. And Hi to the rest of you too!

My name is Bill (aka breger1, brunger, burgermeister, bonger, billger, etc. ... it's a long story.) I live in S. Florida and I'm in the middle of training for the Eugene Marathon - hoping to BQ.

I average about 55 miles per week running. I signed up as a Super Bad Ass but I'm likely on the upper limit of that. I will be on vacation skiing next week, and my running miles may be down a bit, though my cross-training will go up. I didn't want to over Bad-Ass myself.

Looking forward to training with all of you!

Team Name? "E-VRAA-Training" (Ever-a-training) Yeah. Corny.

I'm Cheryl and I live in Montana. I'm pretty excited to see familiar faces from the old coolrunning and kick and for the chance to meet some new people too! This is my 2nd VRAA. Last time I signed up as a badass but far exceeded that level mostly due to consistent running but also lots of xtraining. This time I opted for superbadass so will do my best to live up to my commitment. I average 25 - 30 mpw and also do pilates and yoga regularly. I have a HM in Virginia on Mar 16 so will be working around that a bit with mileage. I may have limited computer access during my trip so if I miss a day, don't worry -- I'll catch up.

Team names off the top of my head: Extreme, Excite, Explicit, Exuberant, Eruption, Exterminate, Exceed, Escape, Endeavor -- what did I miss?

Thanks to Heather and Gingerbread for being our captains and best wishes on your pregnancy. Feel free to address me in the group or single me out -- doesn't matter!

Good luck everyone -- do well and stay injury free!

Hi Team!

Mike here. I live in Utah, not far from KR celebrity Solitude, although we still haven't met in person. When I am healthy, I can put in 200 points a week, but I've been struggling since January, and will probably do more like 150. Besides running, I do some kind of strength training or core work 4-5 days a week.

I (virtually) know breger1, choovie, hollys, and jura from the Masters group, and I feel like I know most of the rest of you from past VRAAs and occasionally lurking in the PRT.

Motivation: I have plenty. The expectations of being on a team are enough to keep me going and doing a little extra. But I won't be offended if someone feels the need to call me on something.

I can't wait for antag to show up with fresh flowers and personalized gift baskets!

Hi everyone!

My name is Joe, and I live the single life over here in California next to where they make some mysteriously intoxicating fluid they call wine I normally hang out in the 30s thread, but I make regular appearances in the Multi-Sport and PRT forums as well.

I was kinda' on the sidelines for the last VRAA due to injuries (I made up for it by being a sideline blogger of sorts). I'm trying to make a comeback from said injuries (been cross-training like crazy) and the VRAA is just the motivation I need to get back to prior levels of output (I had reached super-badass levels in the past.) I'm hoping to get back to where I can get in a few sprint tris in the near future and maybe back to higher-mileage regular running by the fall.

As far as team names...already some good ones mentioned. I'll throw in some more Evermore, Ecstatic, Elevate, Electric, Eminent, Essential...I'm sure there are more to be had.

Looking forward to training and getting to know all of ya' a little better.

Morning, Team!
I'm your other captain, also a Heather (freaky, no?), and am looking forward to a good, fun round of VRAA competition. We have Antag, who is a champion smack-talker. Now we just need a name!

I'm signed up as a Badass, and currently fighting the flu or something (since last Friday) but should be on the mend and picking up my contributions by next week. I'm feeling better today already. My fever seems to have subsided for the most part, at least. My lungs are still very congested, and I don't know how long that will take to clear out.

I'll be walking and doing yoga to try and make up for any lack of running this first week on my part.

Go Team!

Hey all. My name is Doug and I live in SE NH. I've been running and doing triathlons for a little over 3 years. I've got a couple of near-term and one big long-term race that I am training for besides just trying to lose that last 20lbs and get into better shape. My first race is in May when I'll be doing a marathon relay. My leg is 6mi. Then I have some 5Ks and 4.2mi races and then the big race in August is a sprint triathlon. If training goes right I might do another sprint earlier in the summer. We'll see. Work, a long commute and having a young family puts a lot of time constraints on my training.

Right now I am running around 18-25mpw and putting in a few hours of yoga and strength training. Pretty soon I'll be adding the bike in, first on the bike trainer I ordered last week and then outdoors when the weather gets better. I am in a long struggle trying to find a pool to swim at after mine has closed but it's inevitable and necessary.

I signed up as Super BA feeling I was on the cusp between BA and Super BA.

What's up motherfukkas??

I'm here to kick some ass and chew some bubblegum and I'm almost out of bubblegum.

I want to win this round. I want to fucking destroy the other teams, I want to be so sa far ahead, they give up. I signed up as a Mega, I've never been in that category before and will do everything in my power to go beyond that.

Winning this thing is easy, everyone scores every day. If you're sick or injured, walk a mile, do 30 minutes of core, do something. Use this game as motivation. I know I do.

Let's do this thing.

Team Eviscerate, that's my contibution to the names.

Hello Fellow E's,
my name is Julia, I live in beautiful Brithish Columbia, Canada with hubby and three daughters (teen, pre-teen age), but I am the only runner in the family. This is my first VRAA, so I am very Excited! I wasn't sure whether to sign up BA or SBA but after adding up the points for a typical week I decided on Super level. I will probably be close to the lower end of Super Badassery, but I will do my best for the team!
I have been injured since last October, when I had to DNS the Bellingham Bay Marathon due to severe back problems. After 0 miles for three months I started back on the road in January, currently brushing about 20miles/week, building slowly. I am doing tons of x-training, though, with swimming, yoga, walking, strength training and regular core work, and now that it's a bit warmer I will take the old bike out, too.
So many good suggestions for names already! My favourite so far is Team Exuberance, but I could have fun with more ominous sounding The Exterminators too! Or how about the Eclectics? Being what seems like a diverse group and all...
Thank you Heathers for volunteering as team captains! Congrats on your pregnancy, Quix, how exciting! Is it your first?
Hi Team!

I’m Holly and I live in Ohio. This is my first VRAA, so I may have some questions, but I’m happy to see some (virtual) faces that I know from CR. I’m running 50-ish and 55-ish miles, alternating, training for Boston (my first). I wasn’t sure whether to sign up for Super Badass or Mega Super Badass, but Tamster encouraged me to reach for the stars (since I do a bit of x-training, too), and so I signed up as Mega. Hope I can live up to it.

I like all the E-names posted so far.
