Well guys I'll be at a XC camp until Wednesday so don't worry I'll still be getting out there...maybe not quite as long, but I need a cutback week anyways. I'll have a huge lump sum then though. Keep it up!

Yeah, we have definitely picked it up. I had to resort to the treadmill and could not possibly stay on it any longer, so about a mile less today than planned. <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif">
Nettie, sometimes when I'm dreading a dreadmill run, I'll do several miles of walk .2, run .8. I don't like to do this outside (nothing against the technique, just don't like it) but on the TM it's a way to break up the monotony. I find I can put in several extra miles this way. Othertimes I'll alter the speeds and/or incline. Variety helps!<br><br>
But either way, good job getting it in!
Um, so I think somehow I sprained my ankle. While I was walking yesterday, it just suddenly started hurting and today it was okay at first, but a quarter mile into my run, it just became to uncomfortable. <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"> I can't believe this.
oh no! Get it checked out, pronto.

Thanks diablita! Something in my ankle went click and now it feels a lot better, but I'm still going to stay off of running for a few more days.
that is great news Nettie. Be sure not to rush it though. Even if you feel you are ready in a few days, just do a couple of slow miles at first.

Today, I haven't had any discomfort at all yet, but I haven't tried walking very "far" yet, so we'll see.
You guys kick ass! We're in 3rd now and I just added a nice large sum, highest mileage ever in 5 days. 2-a-days at running camp with recvery runs being my normal pace and I'm sorry to say I'm taking tomorrow off. Maybe Saturday if my calves don't loosen up.<br><br>

Yeah, thanks for keeping up alive team! My ankle has stopped feeling funky and I will be run/walking a race with a girl that just started running and a girl with a broken toe on Saturday (so I get the bonus points).
