So the roster is up and if you're on Team C, then you're on the winning team with me. I've been resting up my injuries all week so I can come back and attack starting tomorrow.

Who has an idea for a cool name?

Have a great time in Vegas! Btw, I had to get a 10-miler in for marathon training when I was there last Oct. I'm not even sure if it's cool enough there at night to run outside. But if it is, and you do, a very good run is the block that the Wynn is on. Otherwise, you end up having to deal with lots of traffic lights and bridges.

well we could have fun with variants of Team Cojones, like:
Team Couragous Cojones
Team Ten (from tener, to have, not the number 10) Cojones
Team Cojones Ganadores (winning cojones)
and many, many more...

ouch! chafing is the worst. especially the shower afterwards! I used to chafe something awful under the bottom part of my bra when I would run > 4 miles. Thank goodness I figured out how to make it stop or marathon training would've been torture!

So yesterday while I was mesmerized by a very cute lorry, a couple of ants went to town on my feet. Three bad bites. I won't be able to wear my running shoes for another day or two. Tonight will probably be the elliptical trainer in sandals.

I'm referring to the nasty ant that did this as "Ant-ag"

joplus, sorry about that. couldn't tell from your username, though I could tell that you're a Super Duper Badass! Do I know where in Florida you're at? (Sorry if I've asked before)

so I'm gonna tape up the toes today and try to get in a few miles. And push back my long run to Sunday, so I'll have major healing going on and can get in a good, long run.

Nice way to rally, folks!

The toes are on the mend! Enough to run with band-aids over them. Yay!
I still suspect someone on another team of putting those angry ants there.

Have a GREAT time, Alex! We'll miss you.

And I already racked up a nice chunk of points running this morning, but I'm not going to post until later in the hopes it will spur me on to score more.

Nettie, sometimes when I'm dreading a dreadmill run, I'll do several miles of walk .2, run .8. I don't like to do this outside (nothing against the technique, just don't like it) but on the TM it's a way to break up the monotony. I find I can put in several extra miles this way. Othertimes I'll alter the speeds and/or incline. Variety helps!

But either way, good job getting it in!

Sorry Nettie. I walked two extra miles on my workout today on your behalf.
I'm stuck in the meetingfromhell tomorrow all day, but on Thursday will try to put in a few extra points for you again.

Feel better!
