<p>My name is Brian and this is something like my 4th or 5th VRAA.  I find it a great way to keep my motivation up for high (for me) mileage and cross training.  I 'know' OrangeMat, Tamster and Gobi from the Masters forum here, and I at least recognize the rest of your names from the last round of VRAA. </p>

<p>We start tomorrow morning - Everyone set your alarm for 12:01 AM - we've got work to do.</p>

<p>Great team we have here!  I'm anxious to get started . . . but not anxious enough to start at 12:01 a.m. <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/huh.gif" style="width:15px;height:15px;" title=""> , unless of course, performing the yoga corpse pose counts.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I signed up as a Mega this time around. I have a HM in mid November, so my mileage should be around the 25+/wk range, plus VRAA motivates me to be more consistent on stretching and core work, using my foam roller and stability ball in the evenings, etc.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Friday I'll be volunteering check-in at the Pine 2 Palm 100 race, so will only get a few volunteer points on our first day, but I'll get in some running over the weekend, plus Sunday afternoon I'm walking in a "Wine Walk" (about 4 miles) in a local fundraiser for women's health/cancer screening, etc.</p>

<p>I'll have one race this round - towards the end of this round - a 10K.</p>

<p>woot!  I am mega busy and not sure how often I can check in, but I'll make sure my points are posted.  and I hate that these things always start on Friday!  Friday is a rest day before my long runs...this week is an 18 miler so I should have lots of points to post on saturday!</p>

<p>Hi all - first time for me as Super Mega but no worries -  I am smack in the middle of training for my first 50K on Oct. 31 and have several 50 mile+ weeks coming up, starting this week. Fortunately the bulk of my mileage is on the weekend so my long run is tomorrow followed by a medium-long run the next day, all in time to count for VRAA.  </p>

<p>I'm pretty much an everyday runner (maybe I'll even go back to a yoga class or two!), though I won't be doing anything this coming Saturday due to the holiday. Haven't had a rest day in over two weeks now. Might be worthwhile... though I'd rather not be fasting! <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/huh.gif" title=""></p>

<p>Hi. This is my first time as a Mega. I've always been BA or BAIT and done most of the VRAAs since the 2nd or 3rd one with some rounds off here and there. I'm training for a HM on Oct 31 so the higher miles are starting. Got 4 on tap tomorrow as well as biking to school. I do yoga once/week and spin once/week plus weight training. I think being mega will keep me doing the weight training since that seems to drop when I get busy!</p>

<p>I'm not great at posting points in the threads every day, but I will be posting them on the scoring site! I like the team name suggestions with "better' in them. <img alt=":)" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//smile.gif" title=":)"></p>

<p>Off to France to train in the Mountains next week which means many hours but lower points, that said I am confident of hitting my numbers.</p>

<p>It does however mean I am another time zone further away from you all. I will interact on the team thread but will avoid smack talking or posting on the daily.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Technically I am training for nothing right now but building base for 2011, that said I see marathons and long cold cycles on the horizon when I return from France.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>My first training session is in about 90 minutes, why wait huh ? :¬)</p>

<p>'Better than them' is good, I must admit; but since we are a TEAM, which makes us, together, better than the sum of our parts, how about we call ourselves,  "Better than 1"   ? </p>
