<p>There comes a time in every cycling fan's life when he or she needs to make a pilgramage to France in July.  For me, that time is now..er..next July.  Guided tour groups are out..too expensive.  Getting together with a few like-minded ppl from the local bike club, renting a van, and splitting costs would seem to be the way to go.  Does anybody have experience doing something like this?  Anyone here parlez-vous Français and can take a month off from work next year?</p>

<p>The Tour came a few kilometers from where I lived a few years ago, so we went to see it. My father in law always took his family to see the Alps days. My wife now hates the Tour!</p>
