I have two, one I wish I had known a little more about it design-wise, but I don't regret either.

I will get more at some point (despite the fact that I'm now Jewish).

I have a small M-dot on the outside of my right ankle. I LOVE it! I really do. Absolutely no regrets. I got it a month after crossing the finish line of my very first Ironman. I would get another tattoo. And I might. But the time has to be right. But it would be small and in an out of the way spot.

I have one, no regrets as it symbolizes an important period in my life.

Two suggestions, though: DO think long and hard about what you want and where. I have a friend who got a tattoo put on her stomach right below her belly button. I was imaging what a balloon with writing looks like when it's blown up and then shrunken (I know she plans to have babies in the future).

Also, get a strong recommendation from people about where to go to get it done. Don't just pick a place out of the phonebook. If you know someone who's had work done, ask them for a recommendation. If you see someone with a tat and you like it, ask them where they got it done. You DON'T wanna go see the wrong person for something as permanent as a tattoo.

I have 7 and not one that I regret. I started when I was in the Army, and the first few were typical, mean, dark, skulls and stuff. As I have matured, and am an educator, I have transitioned into lighter stuff like athletic symbols and a half-sleeve of Superman flying Lois thru a cityscape.

I only have one right now - the lion of flanders on the back of my right shoulder. Eventually, soon I hope actually, I'll be getting the German eagle (I'm 98% german) on my left shoulder.

Personally, I only like black ink, but then again the tattoos I like are older medieval/euro designs.

I don't have any regrets at this point in my life, but I always wonder what I'll think of them when I have kids, grandkids, etc.
