Puppies! I love puppies... Very cute, Tammy. You still have your old dogs, right? I couldn't imagine having 4 dogs.... we'll have a dog again someday, but for now I'm kind of enjoying being without.

Wow, Heme... crazy weather in so many places! Don't know that I could handle that much excitement. How does your garden hold up in all that wind? Nice score on the glasses!

Happy Tapers to ksrunr and ripvanracer! Can't wait to hear the race reports from OKC. What are you racing, rip? You probably said, but I forget.

Since I'm taking it easy this week, I didn't run home from work last night. But at the gym yesterday, DH and I did some leg work that I could sure feel afterward! I started from home, and ran down the road to the flatter side near town. No steep anything, just gentle grades on bikepaths. Made it to the Hampton Inn for a potty stop, and ran back about 2 miles to where DH was waiting for me to save me from the uphill run back up our road (yay!). So I ran 7.2 miles at about 8:12 overall average. Felt like I was working a little harder than that, but I think that's from the leg workout earlier. Oh boy did I feel that this morning! Obviously I need to do more of that if the little bit we did had such an effect. If DOMS is worse the second day, I'm askeered about what tomorrow will bring!

Still... it was a nice enough day today that I ran at lunch for about 5.5 miles, meeting up with DH in the last mile. We're both entering another 5k on May 7, and he'd sure like to do better on this one. It's crowded with lots of sharp turns, but no real hills (one bridge, that's it). It's also embedded into my 10 mile day, with a 20 miler the next day... Hope that one goes better than the last one!
