It's 90+ with high humidity and I am the sweatiest girl I know...let's say that my runs will be getting longer as the summer progresses and I'm thinking about s-caps and the like.

Product suggestions? Good experiences, bad experiences? What should I try first?

BTW - The first thing I do after a hot run is drink cold fluids and eat olives (and drink the salty delicious juice, but I'm weird like that) to help replenish.

I swear by S!Caps (made by Succeed). I take one before long runs/rides and every hour during. I have a lot of thick, curly hair and sweat like crazy. I find when I stay on top of my salt intake I don't get lethargic and am able to stay focused.

Good luck!

The first time I heard about the pickle solution was after one of our bike & breakfast rides.

One of the other riders always asked for a dill spear w/ his breakfast bagel.

Soooo

I then was running @ a friend's house in the SUPER heat...

and was soaked and drippy at the finish.

She had those salad dills, the ones that are sliced flat.

I finished the last three of those....

and then drank the juice.

She was grossed out.

I was happy.

It was a good afternoon. ;)

So, I keep a jar of them in my fridge now, just in case.

Oooo...

Nice new accessory option Hobey!

I think you'd have to get dill pickle slices instead of whole ones, too.

Or, just stash them along the course in a cooler!
