Hi All MS'ers LITers and MS people. I've been gone a bit, last week my workouts were tele skiing in SLC. This week back to swimming, In a very fun venture yesterday I recieve some form lessons form some fast swimmers. See little me trying to imitate the well displayed "high elbow" style of recover/entry don't think I can make 20-30 knots no matter how well I learn: <img alt="" src="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j48/runnerbee/finwhale.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>

there's something to be said for So Cal, and besides, the 53-55 degree water hides any jellyfish stings quite effectively

Whale, right?<br>
Not "eat you for lunch, shark?"<br><br>
That's pretty cool.<br>
Could you hear them in the water, too?

Ah out in the catalina channel we take a big dive boat to scare off the big tankers and in this case to support our relay team so the person shooting the photos is on the deck of the boat and the whale at this moment is between us and the boat. He said he couldnt' use his telephoto becuase htey were too close and too big. The whales swam in circles around us for quite some time (@45 mintues) there were 3, lots of photo ops and some good series showing the full size of this, the second largest living creature in the world (blue whales are bigger). THis was soemtiem into it ad the "girl" is watch the other relay swimmer, she's right between the boats and never saw them. Since my surgery and subsequent chronic pain issues, I seem to "call" marine mammals, usually smaller ones but lately I've been getting whales.

In a triathlon we aren't part of the food chain. Swimming in the middle of the ocean all alone splashing around, you make yourself very low in the food chain.<br><br>

swimmerbee doesn't splash. look at how smooth she is.<br><br>
Both the whale and the girl in front of her make more wake. What do they call it when you're more fish than the fish?

Actually I hum when I breathe out probably becuase of the scar tissue under my ribs. The scar tissue also squeaks a little. They were singing back sounded more like big "chirps" than singing exactly<br><br>
Here's one more just so you get an idea of his size in this one the fin has not yet come out of the water, I think its a different whale than the previous shot and demonstrating a different arm position<br><br><img alt="" src="http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j48/runnerbee/Greg201041.jpg" style="border:0px solid;">
