swimmer's ear?

515 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by spinandrun
I think that I might have it, except that symptoms came on suddenly (in the pool) which make me think that maybe I just have water stuck in there or something? I've tried the blowdrier. Are there any over-the-counter remedies? It's that typical water in your ears feeling, and the hearing in that ear is dulled.
Thanks,
Try a 50/50 mix of alcohol (from the drug store, NOT the ABC store)....and white vinegar. Couple of drops.

The alcohol helps with drying, the vinegar will help with anything needing killing.
it depends....
that won't make it feel better....
until you can get the fluid out....

You'll eventually get good at putting your ear down....be sideways...you'll hear the stuff in there shift around.

If it doesn't start to feel better in a day or 3, head for the doc. They can give you stuff that will help with the drainage.

I have stuff in my ears so much, though....it's become almost normal for me, though.

I don't go unless it HURTS.
If it doesn't hurt.....it will eventually go away.
If it's just wierd....
well....I've embraced that wierd feeling.
